Lol sorry to p*** on your bonfire so to speak but was reading this thread in hope that you went for the Golf. Yeah sure the servicing is more on the Golf, but watch how many times you have to take the Astra back the the dealers for big stuff aswell as niggly stuff like rattles and squeeks.

As long ...

Quite hard in the Polo. I enquired myself when I had my mk5, basically the chassis in stock form isn't strong enough to fully support a 1.8t. This does not make it impossible but I believe it does need strengthening in order to carry the power. In addition is is quite a squeeze to get a 1.8t in ...

Haha I see standards are slipping in this place. :P

Cool, good choice on the GTi by the way, wicked little cars, should look good with a few nice touches here and there. :)

Most powerful i've ever drive was a Lamborghini Murcielago Coupe, that was pretty fierce.

The most powerful i've ever passengered in was a Mercedes McLaren SLR about 2 weeks ago.

I can honestly say the feeling is like when a plane is about to take off.

I would say it has potential in the sense of the smoothed bumpers and if you remove all the crap etc, but that colour is vile. :(

Try Norwich Union, I insured my Polo through them for about £500 cheaper than anywhere else would quote me at the time. :)

Oh and hello.

The Admiral/Elephant group are best i've found for young drivers on decent cars.

I insure my Cooper S through them and had my MkV GTI insured with them also, and I am 19 with 2 years no claims.

I only arse my cars when either:

I'm pissed off and need to get somewhere fast
Some chav needs teaching a lesson

Other than that, it's just not worth risking my licence or pride & joy in this day and age.

Up by the 12v adapter there is a screw to the chassis which was my earth point- that's in the boot.

The easiest route into the car is just above the brake pedal. There is a large unused grommet just there which you can see in the engine bay just behind the main engine cover.

0awg- lol. Have fun ...
