Nice one! It is true that Insurance premiums go down (generally) with a more experienced named driver as the risk is 'shared' amongst the drivers. Norwich Union Direct allow this discount aswel, but they are not too hot on modifications I'm afraid. It depends on what you have got done.

Well, I must admit that as far as I was aware it wasn't leagal to use on the road. You can have it fitted, but not actually use it. The guys here in the office all thought that it was illegal to use. Interesting!

Too true. You're not the first person to say that either. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that the car had been in an accident before I got it. Who knows. Starts lovely with a new Starter motor though.

I've had no-end of problems with my Mk4. had to have a new steering rack, and new starter motor this year. Also, the electrics a little dodgy, fans keep cutting out and they haven't come back yet.

Nevermind, I might be selling it soon though. Not sure what to do yet.

Oh I See! Whoever came to look at it, then heard the noise was like "Ok, I'll let you know," and never heard from them again. It's difficult because it is an auto, although the gear box is very good, and a very smooth change. Oh well, I shall have to keep it and mod it up at some point!
