conteplating polo gti, couple of questions

hi all,

i'm thinking of getting a new polo gti, and wondered whether anyone could answer a couple of questions:

1. is the engine the 1.8 20v with the K03 turbocharger or the K03 sport turbocharger? the reason i ask is because with the K03 sport you can rechip the engine to ~190bhp (i used to have ...

the audi / vw turbo lumps have recirculating dump valves, not dump-to-air valves. if you want a part recirc/part dump-to-air valve for the sound, you need to buy something like a forge dv007 i think. VAG lumps do NOT dump-to-air by default.

anywho, i have a small problem. when i switch my lights on the rear lamps do not come on. the brake lights work fine regardless.

Re: 1.8 Turbo Mk4 Polo, Still Cool?

First the pics, then the story....

So is this car still cool if you know the story behind it? Apparantly, the guy farmed out everything done to this car, meaning engine, leather dash and seats, wheels, respray, the whole lot. Dad paid for everything. What's the use of modding a car when you do ...

pic request from new member

hi all, i'm from the uk-mkivs.net herd but i thought i'd browse around the forums here as we also own a mk4 polo. some lovely pictures around.

i was wondering whether anybody had a photo of a silver 4-door mk4 polo with mk5 gti alloys on it? the reason is, that the mk4's on standard steel wheels ...
