In relation to Deadcat's broken cambelt thread I though I'd just ask..... Mine has 85000 on the clock and I don't have any history of when the last belt was changed. It would be good practise to do it yourself. The only way you could know is by doing it, starting it up, compression check etc. etc.

Yeah I only put the flushing oil in cos I bought the car recently and I can't be totally sure when the last oil change was - agreed though it isn't really needed if the oil changes have been done regularly. what seems to work fairly well is Autoglym Super Resin Polish followed by Autoglym extra gloss protection afterwards, if you want to be indulgent.

Hello. If you torque a nut to a certain setting, if you are unsure whether the wrench "clicked" or if you want to be doubly sure can you re tighten the nut on the same setting or will it give an inaccurate torque the second time?
