Guys that was a good day yesterday well worth getting out of bed for :roll:

Wheel barings

Can anyone help me, I was looking to putting new alloys on my mk4.........

8j 15 on the front
11j 15 on the back and get some custom arches welded on the back to cover the tyres sticking out.

But I’ve been warned that I’m going to put **** loads of strain on my wheel barings on the back ...

yea im well up for a meet, i went to the last mean streets of the summer on saturday was awesome, some guy had a gorgeous mk2 VR6 golf spent at least 10k on it, to cut a long story short he was using his flamer kit for to long and set fire to the rear end hehehe,

I’ve seen it in the car park, theirs two is his green or white the white 1 was for sale only 1500 was tempted!

I work over the road at BAE Systems, earning my green to spend on the car, by the end of this week ill have a flush tailgate, custom rear bumper and .......... BADBOY :lol: "hopefully"

That sounds like a plan..........
Save me buying a mk5 bumper and a lot of hassle.

How do you reckon I could do that though?

Just cut a hole in the bumper a little smaller than the number plate, stick the plate over the hole, but how would I fix the lights plus what lights would I use??

How much that cost you to get that done, boot and bumper?
I was quoted 250 - 300 quid.

That’s what I was thinking but I’m not sure on how to do it.
I was going to get a 6n2 bumper with the recess already sculpted, cut it out and mould it in to mine, I cant think of any other way of doing it?

Can anybody help, I’m currently getting my boot smoothed and wanted to re-locate the number plate to my 16v rear bumper, but I’m have problems with the MOT as the number plate has to be illuminated to pass.
