Installing an Alpine head-unit
Hello. I have brought an Alpine head-unit and I kept on reading or hearing stuff about a 'Harness Adapter', so what is that all about? Would I need one for my Polo 9N, which has a s**t 'Beta' radio in it, which I can't wait to get rid off. I've already brought the removing keys from eBay for £2! :)...

Thanks guys. Just let me get this one very straight. 1) Disconnect the negative with a normal spanner? 2) Then disconnect the Positive? What about reconnecting it. Does it have to be in specific order? I'm really scared of that freaken battery. :? No joke. And it is safe to use that spanner to tight...

I jus had an incident earlier on when I tried to disconnect the car battery to see how it's done, 'cos I'm planning to install the head-unit, amp, etc etc. and most places said I should unplug the battery first - for obvious safety reason. I was wondering what screw driver are they under like the glovebox? Those 'star' looking like screws? They obviously don't look like those normal '+' or '-' ones. I was wondering what screw driver are they under like the glovebox? Those 'star' looking like screws? They obviously don't look like those normal '+' or '-' ones.
