I bought a Polo GT earlier this year with ESP and Climatronic.

Personally I think it the ESP was really worth having plus you get the brake assist.
Read somewhere that it has been improved in the new model as well.

The Climatronic option is nice but you get the semi auto climate anyway and it does ...

As carmadaaron says, it is a 130bhp according VW stats, but then they say the 0-60 is 9.5(or maybe 9.6)secs.
I timed my 0-60 at 8.1 secs a few weeks ago, but that was just with my mate and the stop watch on his phone. I should be able to give you a more accurate time after I take it down the ...

Multi function computer display question

If you have that option on your Polo, should the output be displayed in the combi instrument panel ?.
I get the display within the rev counter but on the VW website they have a pic showing the display within the combi panel.
I have looked at the manual and it seems to refer to optional kit.

Is ...

Dougmac, its Inchcape enough said!

Just do a search for posts by me and all will be revealed. They are ok until you actually pick the car up so i'd go somewhere else for aftersales. (Trust Stourbridge maybe, but i've heard stories about them) Trust Wolverhampton is the best service i've ever ...

That's just about the same story I got from the sales guy. VW customer services can help to trace the order if you give them the commission number when the car was ordered.

Did not mention how it was damaged, just that VW would not let the dealer replace it with the one from the model in the ...

Yeah i'm happy with it. And yes i would say it is quick. As soon as I had run it in (think got upto about 1200 miles) i timed my 0-60 at 8.6 secs, although the road was a bit wet and sort of spun it off in 1st gear so I want to try again when I get chance. Think i'll be taking it down the sprint ...

Nice choice mate. Whoever said that diesels were slow were soooooo wrong. There is no better feeling than flying past some barry boy in his chaved up Saxo. The only down side is that if you floor it in 1st or even second on slightly damp roads you just wheel spin it if your not careful :shock ...

Thats unlucky mate :( Sounds like your having a rougher ride than me waiting for your new car. I hope they sort you out soon! Its a bit concerning that the steering wheel has been damaged :(, do you know what caused the damage?

The story I got was that they only get updates when the order gets a ...

If the dealer should now exactly where the car is I wish someone could help out Inchcape Bridgnorth on my behalf.

Still waiting over 4 month's for my GT, they have been very vague since
day one. They told me that after it's built they cannot trace it. Was given build week of 48 last year and by ...

Years ago I had a Citreon Xantia which was going wrong all the time so after the Citreon warranty I took out a policy with Warranty Direct.
I found them good and a lot cheaper that the makers one.
The only downside was if the garage did not have an account you had to pay the bill which you then ...

Thread hijack eh ?.

Thanks for letting me know Gra-GT.

I did order mine with ESP and climate so I knew it
was going to be a while. Just annoyed that I was told
I would get it before xmas and still waiting without a
date, the dealer does not seem to know if it has been shipped
over yet.

Have been ...

I like it, especially as I have ordered the same colour(with colour pack)
as yourself.

I placed my order back in October and was given a build week of
48 but still waiting to get mine.

If you don't mind me asking, how long did you have to wait to get yours.

Thanks for the response guys.

I have been told that it has been built and should get it before the end of the year, so looking forward to getting my hands on it now.

Have to agree with your comments about the ST170 Scorpio1.

Feedback from GT owners

I have put a order in for a Polo GT and hope to pick it up before the end of the year.

My previous car was a Focus ST170 which I reluctantly used as part-ex for the Polo.

I did not manage to get a test drive of the GT, so don't know what to expect really
as I have not driven a sporty turbo diesel ...
