Yeah for £15 I was a bit disappointed; same as Saty; coded the one press unlock & alarm chirp. Everything else was already 'on' so how does that work, I.e the emergency hazard flash on braking - my 6R GTI doesn't do that I've done some pretty emergency style braking!! Not sure it's worth the £15 ...

I'll give it a go with my wifi OBD reader - seems the App (iOS) is free. Always fancied the hazard light flash on 'emergency' breaking - haven't got VCDS. This seemingly supports the 6R also - not sure what you drive Saty.

Thanks - any info please on aftermarket options as I'm striking a blank (at least everything seems to be left hand drive orientated & I'm not sure of implications here - playing around with electrics perhaps which is not really my forte...)

A question on rear OEM LED lights; were they an option - I think I've seen them on a Polo, if so could they be retrofitted or am I barking up the wrong tree?

None of the usual places (Kufatec being one of them) seem to have anything related - I did a good search of the Forum also and given the ...

I like the black inserts on the MFSW (link) - they'd match the RNS and centre fascia nicely; chrome ones don't look quite right IMO. Never felt like I really needed extensions (haven't got massive hands...) although turning sharply when accelerating hard in 1st is about the only time I struggle ...

Agreed never heard of or even seen it with full beige leather; seen it in a similar year Golf V5 but not a 6N2 Polo; mine was full black leather, VVT, 6 CD changer, headlight washers, etc. so for a 51 Reg that was pretty damn impressive, I look back fondly! I think it's quite a miss on VW's part if there isn't one. It was a pain not having one in my 9N3 GTI, in fact it was the one thing I really hankered for (sad) & I couldn't bring myself to buy aftermarket. My 6R GTI has one, I think they were OEM and frankly I'd hate it if there wasn't one, I think ...

I've read some comments on other forums that this is now a discontinued colour (the VW colour). I was really interested in how many other Shadow Blue's might be out there; I'm guessing not that many!!

Yeah, interesting about the antenna position, my RNS315's actually in the drivers side door pillar,, I.e above your head. It needs to be as close to the outside as possible IMO. Likewise, MIC is in the interior/reading lamp, I.e the place it's meant to be!?!

New to the Forum although been browsing for many years given my love of the Polo GTI; I've owned a 6N, a 9N3 and currently a 6R.

I'd be careful - enough said. My GTI is under warranty and your right to be cautious. Revo specialists can hide their mapping from VW, I.e they don't really know what they are looking for/any trace can be removed (binary code) so I think you can get away with some stuff but VW, in my experience ...

Yeah, good link and there was a recall as far as I'm aware - a newer version of the DSG software. Mines a 2011 although I'm pretty sure it wasn't required on mine. It came from VW so they may have done it.

Hope it's not too costly anyway!!
