Re: Can you be too old for a GTI?
I was 55 when I bought my Clio RS 200, I am now 61 and enjoying my Blue GT. In a couple of years time I have every intention of buying a Golf R. So no, you are never too old for a GTI.

Re: Blue GT - 2-/4-cyl. mode 'hunting'
Over the first 10,000 miles in my Blue GT I have never noticed the engine switching between 2 and 4 cylinders, other than the notification in the instrument cluster.

Re: Media display panel not working
Thanks Jammydodger, went out to the car to try your suggestion, turned the ignition on and of course the unit lit up and worked perfectly. Anyway, at least I now know what to do next time.
Thanks again.

Media display panel not working
My media display panel has stopped working, just a blank screen, although radio still works. Does anybody have any ideas?

Re: Blue GT noise gearbox
Gearbox whine in second & third gear at low constant speeds, i.e. roads with 20 mph limit.

Re: Blue GT Road Noise
Well took the wheels off today just to see if it is my imagination or if there is something causing excessive road noise.
Tha wheel hubs, where I hang/ put the alloys back on to, has surface rust on it so I am guessing that could be the noise.
I am thinking to rub down with super fine wire wool ...

Re: Blue GT Road Noise
Despite the tyre noise this is probably the quietest Polo I have owned.
My first Polo was a Mk1 which I had when I lived in Germany in the late seventies, I use to drive it flat out everywhere, 6000rpm = 160 KPH which was my cruising speed on the
autobahn. My second car in Germany, a 205 GTI ...

Re: Blue GT Road Noise
I have to say that I get a lot of road noise from my Dunlop Sport Maxx.
Ricmondo, what tyres does your Polo have to make it so quiet?

BlueGT Tyre Pressures
Hi, what tyre pressures are you running your BlueGT with?
At the moment I am trying 40psi front and 37psi rear and have to say that the car feels much better than with the factory pressures.

Anthracite Alloys.

Re: Polo Blue GT
Hello everybody, I have had my Blue GT for a couple of weeks now. Bought it when it was 3 months old with 2000 miles on the clock from a dealer. So far has run perfectly. Anyway I was wondering what tyre pressures you run your cars on as the pressures suggested by VW seem very high to me, none of my ...
