Chevrolet haters, unite!!!!! (I'm a candidate for Supreme Chancellor) It doesn't matter how you call them, Vauxhalls, Opels, Chevrolets, Holdens... I hate them. I just hate them. Don't ask me why. It must have something to do with the '83 Chevette (mk.I Astra in the UK) my mum owned throughout the 1...

Can you seriously say that if you were challenged by police pointing guns at you you would try to run away rather than just standing and surrendering? I would have thought that's a fairly standard response to that kind of situation, wherever you come from... AFAK (and as far as the Metropolitan Pol...

The shape is pleasing enough, even if it's a bit "un-fiat" because of the high-ish waist line (or is it really high?). I like the front, manages to both be contemporary and have a certain, I don't know, 1930s? 50s? feel about it (chrome grille and round badge I suppose). As for the GM vers...

I've never had an aerial stolen, but vandals have bent every one of them (90º angle or worse, "artistic" twists). Needless to say, the aerial never goes back to the normal shape completely.

I just realized I made two big mistakes in my post, I'm sorry about them: 1. I've been too quick to assume the person was innocent because he was Brazilian. There's nothing to indicate he was innocent (yet), just press accounts that were just as hasty as my judgement I suppose. 2. I didn't check my ...

I'd leave this alone if i was you u mate. Well, I only wanted to listen to the British perspective on all this. We're only getting the Brazilian perspective on this incident over here, and it's fast becoming a very "emotional" issue with the press interviewing relatives and so on. Also, I...

Brazilian Terrorist??

I'm sorry to bring this up in the forum but this has been all over the news over here... So London Police shot a Brazilian in the head, five times, thinking he was a wacko suicidal terrorist? The guy was from my State, apparently he was an electrician and was mistaken for a south asian, or a...

Whenever possible, you should stick to "traditional" camera equipment manufacturers. Not because of the digital bits and pieces, mind you, but because they tend to offer the best lenses/optical set-ups (and these are what ultimately matters when it comes to raw image quality). These compan...

I'm not sure what's up with the indicators being inboard of the headlamps, but I sure hate them. Looks like it's a North American thing - the US-Canada-Mexico Focus had 'em - that Ford's introducing elsewhere. I wouldn't worry about visibility though, at least not in the European cars that have side...

Looks very familiar to me...

This is the Fiesta that was launched here in 2002, with the large mirrors, round eyes and everything. Perhaps Ford is just "converging" the different models.

I didn't realize that was a car stereo until I read the page you linked. Thought it was 'compact' valve-powered stereo or something. Looks good (though I'd prefer a black case). Now, are there any heat issues? I mean, all those valves don't exactly mix with soft plastics. Must sound great tho...

A GPS tracking device in every car? Hmmm... Are they serious about that?? In a country that still resists the idea of ID Cards, that seems pretty far-fetched to me. Also, I understand the UK charges drivers for tailpipe CO2 emissions? Is that tax levied when you purchase a vehicle, or do you have to...
