Re: Rear lights on with DRL
You can enable the rear tail lights as drl lights with carista as I have enabled them like this. Is the function of the front lights in the "0" and "parking light" mode unchanged after you did this coding? In other words, is the function still the following: -DRL lights on in &q...

Re: Rear lights on with DRL
So... ENABLE Byte23 Bit7 Byte21 Bit3 (CLs with Reverse gear) ... very useful. Tell me the results (if it's to your liking, I mean). Thanks. So recently I met my friend with VCDS and we tried these codings out. At first we tried Byte 21, bit 3 (cornering lights with reverse gear). After doing the co...

Re: 6c GTI Remap features and options
I don't have a 6C GTI but in the WRC I have never had any issue with the throttle pedal being too sensitive, except while I tested a Celtic stage 1 that was flashed by one of their distributors. Now I run the OEM+ stage 1 from RacingLine and I'm very happy with it. Much smoother pedal response and u...

Re: Front window help??
Side windows are the same between 6R and 6C.
As already mentioned, 3 door and 5 door side windows are not the same. The 3 door version has much longer doors than the 5 door version.

Re: Rear lights on with DRL
Increase the brightness of the LED when in parking light mode from about 50 to 100% (full brightness) I see, that's what I was guessing. That I do not want to change. That would make the parking light mode the same as the DRL mode (at least regarding the interior lights) which seems pointless. If I...

Re: Rear lights on with DRL
Enable Byte12 Bit0 You are referring to "Parking lights ON with "Terminal 15 ON"", right? I actually saw that bit while browsing through the long coding helper. However, it was my assumption that by "parking lights", they refer to the =D d= -looking symbol on the switc...

Re: When unlocking in the dark no exterior light come on?
The coming home/ leaving home feature was an optional extra. It might be something that can be enabled with vcds. 64 plate means it's a 2014 (I think, I'm not from the UK) so it's a 6R. If I'm not completely mistaken, automatic dipped beam (requirement for Coming/Leaving home) was not factory fitte...

Rear lights on with DRL
I did a session with a friend's VCDS, wanting to activate the rear lights with DRL. However I couldn't find any specific bit for that one in the long coding helper. I have the Polo R WRC meaning I have LED DRL in the headlights, and no bumper lights. I also have the Auto light switch installed using...

Re: TOWING EYE SQUARE NUMBER PLATE UK??
Fair enough thank you for your help! Now all I need to know is the thread size of the towing eye haha You should be able to measure the thread of your towing eye, however you'll notice that it is left handed and (I think) it is not a standard thread form, so finding a screw/threaded rod that fits m...

Re: 6c gti engine swaps
The R WRC engine is the same as the mk6 Golf R and Scirocco R, however with different accessory parts like downpipe, charge air cooler and air intake. It is not as easy as just dropping in an R engine. The R WRC is a 6R which has a different electrical architecture than the 6C. There may also be a d...

Re: Black caps for the Engine - help for a special one
There is no VAG number for the black washer cap that you saw in ciclo's thread. All OEM washer caps for these cars are blue, the black ones are aftermarket. There is a smaller one which is available in black from VAG, this is for Audi R8 and Lamborghini, I guess this is the one you got that is too s...

Re: fuel lid actuator - replacement
Excellent plan making life easier by using string! I have thought about fitting the emergency release from an Audi A1 to my wife's 2015 Polo, but I've not done that yet, cheba, from having replaced the actuator, do you think that it is possible to fit an emergency plastic cord to the Polo fuel lid ...

Re: fuel lid actuator - replacement
Not difficult, maybe a 10 minute job. I changed mine after it stopped locking when I locked the car. Open the lid. There is one torx screw inside it that you need to remove, then you can carefully remove the whole lid assembly from the car. Then just slide the actuator off of the sheet metal tab it ...
