Re: Temp gauge mod (actual temperature)?
It's not that I have any real use of knowing it. As an engineer, it just hurts my brain that they have included an analog gauge with a certain range and a numbered scale, but made it purposefully so that the needle's position is not directly related to the measured quantity. It is principally wrong ...

Re: Fog Lights fitted but no front foglight option on switch
Some Polo 6C only have the DRL, no foglight, in the lower bumper light. When I look up the part number of the one without foglights and look at photos, it looks similar to the one with foglight when looking at it from the front (it has dummy foglight for looks only). On the back of the housing howev...

Re: Temp gauge mod (actual temperature)?
Yes, I've seen that video before and of course I would like to have an MFA-CS also. However I haven't yet felt that it is worth 169€ :) : https://www.suwtec.de/MFA-CS-Bis-zu-50-neue-Messwerte-in-Ihrer-MFA-Fuer-Fahrzeuge-mit-weisser-MFA-oder-farbiger-MFA-Premium If I for some reason really need a coo...

Temp gauge mod (actual temperature)?
So I'm wondering if it is possible to change the coolant temp gauge to show actual coolant temperature. I've seen threads on forums explaining how to do this on Golf mk4 and similar by editing the EEPROM of the gauge cluster. I've also heard that it can be done on the newer cars with white displays ...

Re: Do I really need this?
It sounds a little strange is they claim that an aircon service "is due". As far as I know there is no scheduled maintenance for the AC system. It shouldn't be needed unless the AC performance have dropped already (it should still be good on a 3 year old car). Brake fluid on the other hand...

Re: Red backlighting on buttons
Changing the color isn't possible unless you take every switch apart and change to LEDs with another color.

Re: Newbie saying hi and seeking advice
You did mention the fact that the 1.8 has only a few more BHP than the 1.4 which is true, but if you do go for the manual as you have said, it has considerably more torque (236 ft/lbs across most of the rev range ) that's where the difference lies. Yes, this is the strength of the GTI 1.8 with manu...

Re: Rear bumper
Try looking for a bumper from Polo GTI, Polo BlueGT or Polo R WRC. Or the Polo R-Line, although that bumper will probably also need R-Line side skirts in order to look good.

Re: Crashed my polo HELP!
I'd also recommend a original bumper, try to find one used. The aftermarket bumper in the link in the first post is not a WRC bumper, the WRC bumper looks completely different. The one in the link is a Polo bumper that is designed to look like the mk6 Golf R/Scirocco R bumper. Not only is is an afte...

Re: Replacing Brake Disks
I checked eurocarparts too see which 2 different pad options there were for your car. If you have the 256mm front brakes, then it is the 146x54.7x19.7mm pads you need. It says it is for PR codes 1LR,1ZG,1ZJ; 1ZG,1LR which indicates the 256mm brakes. The other front pad I find is for the 288mm brakes...

Re: GFB DV+ Polo blue gt
The BlueGT has an EA211 engine, and from what I've read the EA211 uses a VGT (Variable Geometry Turbocharger) and therefore doesn't have a diverter valve. When you lift the throttle it will adjust the turbo geometry so it stops producing boost, therefore a diverter valve is unnecessary.

Re: ciclo's Polo. R-line 1.2 TSI 90hp 119gr.
My indirect TPM system is from factory, with SET button included (glovebox). Currently works perfectly. In the 6R WRC isn't possible to install indirect TPM system, it will not work with the original software of your ABS system. Oh, my bad then. Yeah, when I asked you back then I remember at least ...
