As was mentioned above, this socket is commonly called "triple square" but the correct name is "XZN".
You'll need an XZN bit of the correct size to remove it.

Re: OEM 2016 6c GTI Turbo Boost Gague
So for a budget of about £100 I guess, a cheap thing just so I can keep eye for leaks or problems. That's not going to just break and cause me problems. What i was thinking was getting 1 of these https://www.awesomegti.com/shop-by-brand/forge/forge-sensor-adaptor-to-allow-fitting-of-boost-gauge/ Gu...

Re: Polo GTI 2016 6c - exhaust and aerial replacements
Be careful! The antena can leak! You can replace only the gasket. You can get OEM from the dealer or from aliexpress. The base has a amplifier build i to it. Are you sure? I think the OEM gasket isn't sold separately, only as part of the antenna base, but I may be wrong. In terms of the exhaust pip...

Re: Polo GTI 2016 6c - exhaust and aerial replacements
The aerial can be a tricky one, depending on whether or not you have the original part and can check the exact part number. Is it the antenna base or the antenna rod you need? Regardless, there are many versions of each (often with identical part numbers except different last number) depending on th...

Another higher-budget option is the P3 digital gauge which installs in the air vent: https://www.p3cars.com/volkswagen/p3-v3 ... 2009-2018/

Re: OEM 2016 6c GTI Turbo Boost Gague
No OEM ones. For the Beetle and Scirocco, an OEM gauge panel was available that featured a boost gauge, oil temperature gauge and stop watch. Is is probably possible to get it to work in a Polo, but it isn't straightforward, plus you will have to cut out a hole in the top of the dashboard to fit it....

Re: Performance/track day brake pad
Simple stuff aggressive pad ( yellowstuff) will wear the rotor faster than a standard pad. Yeah, that was my thought too. The funny thing is, on countless forums it is stated that Cosworth Streetmaster pads are made by EBC (may well be true). It is also assumed by many that they are just rebranded ...

Re: Performance/track day brake pad
I found an interesting matching chart (in German): https://www.at-rs.de/bremsen_beratung-nach-mass.html I wonder what they are basing the recommendation on. Perhaps the hardness of the pads versus the rotors? Interstingly, when it comes to the Yellowstuff pads it seems to be quite a difficult pad to...

Re: New here. Wind noise?!!
I Googled the parts number that were given but unfortunately they didn't appear to return any results - so I'm not quite sure what I'm looking for however the post said that these parts may have been removed already. These are the parts in question, I found lots of pictures of them when googling th...

Re: Performance/track day brake pad
Dixcel pads, slotted rotors dont crack, drilled ones do. Ate great quality, also is Zimmerman and TRW they dont bend. I must say I had never heard of Dixcel. I tried looking them up on the web and though I don't doubt they are good, it seems that not many sell them in Europe, especially for non-Jap...

Performance/track day brake pad
I am up for an overhaul of the front brakes on my WRC. The car is a road car but since I do the occasional track day (1-2 times per year), I'm after a performance pad that won't fade away completely after a couple of laps. I've been peeking around in different forums and there seem to be many that l...

Re: Rear lights on with DRL
So, with the recent release of OBDeleven Next Generation I bought myself a Pro kit so I would be able to do long coding myself. I have now tested out these bits and this is the result: - "0" mode: Front parking lights (50% LED intensity), rear lights ON - Parking light mode: Front parking ...

Re: 6C GTI OEM brake upgrade?
Mk4 r32 and cupra brembos are what I'm thinking of but idk if they will fit relatively easily? Any other options? If anyone can help will be appreciated! From what I've seen, a complete set of mk4 Golf R32/A3 3.2 Quattro is hard to find and won't be very cheap, considering they may need a rebuild. ...

Re: Jacking points?
Are the Audi TT jacking points really suitable for use with a floor jack? Re: Best brake upgrade from 256mm without changing hub carriers
So, (as already mentioned) if you have the 288mm ones you only need caliper carriers and rotors to upgrade to 312mm brakes, calipers are the same. Technically there is an OEM option for 4-piston calipers with the OEM 312x25mm rotors. They are "SEAT SPORT" branded AP Racing calipers found a...
