Re: Can you be too old for a GTI?

Definitely not too old, but according to my insurance, can definitely be too young! Thats why I at 18 went for the 1.4 GT over the 1.8 GTI :D

Re: Blue GT "Lights On" Warning?

Ahhh Ok awesome thanks for that Alex.

Didn't shell out for the Auto Headlights so will just have to get into the habit of remembering to turn them off :P

Blue GT "Lights On" Warning?

Hi All,

Just a quick one I hope.

I have recently taken ownership of a 64 plate Blue GT up from a 13 plate VW UP!

But one thing I have noticed is at night when I have my headlights on, in the UP! once stopped and turning off the car, when you open the door there is a warning sound to warn you that ...

Re: Polo GTI V Golf GTI

I ordered a Mk6 Golf GTI about 5 years ago and sold it after 9 months, because it was so boring to drive. Even my Polo BGT feels faster than the Golf did, so the GTI must be a real hoot.

On paper it really isn't much slower, 7.8 (BGT) vs 7.2 (GTI Mk6) to 60 off the top of my head?

Re: New Member!

So I fitted my first mod to the little beast over the weekend, some fantastic chrome exhaust tips off the GTI!

Here's a few before and after shots, excuse the car being so filthy, I was blasting around a damp Anglesey in North Wales all weekend.

For reference, I got mine off the eBay shop ...

Re: New Member!

the bluegt looks so good in that blue. Nearly ordered my gti on the same colour but whenever I look at it I feel like it belongs to the bluegt. I will be coming from a citigo so will be very similar! :D

Very similar indeed!

Did check out a GTI but being 19 I struggled to get insured on the ...

New Member!

Hi All,

Just Introducing myself... Been on and off here reading what you all have to say and would like to thank you for helping me make my decision, and on Saturday I traded in my little 32000 mile VW UP! which has served me excellently over the last two years, to my 4000 mile old VW Polo Blue GT ...
