Apple CarPlay/Android Auto Solution
Although my car was an early 2016 model, I was not able to get Apple CarPlay in my car as I had the small screen media player. I’ve been browsing for solutions for a while but really did not want to replace my standard head unit or play around with my external amplifier solution. Finally I happened ...

Re: Cruise control installation
You can find my earlier post on this issue. The dealer can simply add it by replacing the switch panel on your steering wheel and getting a code from the factory. Cost was about €380 for me. Very worthwhile update.

Re: Changing 6R Speakers
I followed this video when changing mine: https://youtu.be/8BjYLNTCSIo Speakers are 165mm diameter but get ones specifically for VWs because then they come with the plastic spacer rings. I used Blam in my car and it came with replacement tweeters which were pretty much plug and play. I would say tha...

Re: Polo 6C ESP off retrofit button
I also wanted to retrofit the button, I got as far as checking behind the panel and there is no wiring for it. You would have to add the wires as well. Check previous posts.

Re: Front Bilstein shock question
This is really interesting. Are we talking about the part(s) shown in my picture? There was no instructions what to do with it and I was told it could be used on the steering rack to restrict the lock. Now I could understand why the front of my car was 1cm lower than supposed to be with the Eibach/B...

Re: Front Bilstein shock question
Hi, I did the same upgrade as you and was also disappointed that the front of the car was a bit too low at the front, I was hitting my front spoiler everywhere. Eventually I sourced a set of 2015 GTi springs and fitted those instead to my Bilsteins. I ended up with a perfect ride and height at the f...

Re: GTI ride height on R line polo
181949C8-A22B-468A-BD08-EF60696C5C33.jpeg I fitted Eibach springs on my R-Line but it went too low for my taste and I lost the ride quality. My front splitter ended up as a snow plow during the Winter and as a driveway scraper at other times. Then I fitted GTI springs, the ride height went halfway ...

Re: Polo 6C Cruise control retrofit
Sorry for the slow reply. It cost me €380 (£300) which was about the same as the option price when new.
My dealer managed to break a bit of rubber off the back of the steering wheel while removing the switches so I even got a brand new steering wheel out of them for free!

Re: Polo 6C Cruise control retrofit
My dealer retrofitted cruise on my 6C. I have the same stalks as you. It’s done by adding additional buttons to the steering wheel. The wires are not in place to do it by stalks.
The dealer has to get a license key to enable the option. It was not expensive so just let them do it..
