Re: 1.4TSI Coil Packs

Forgot about this one sorry , no didn't get an answer. The tuners advice is buy a 2.0tsi if you want to modify. Hence the sale of mine and the purchase of a golf r [emoji23][emoji23] VWR intake for sale if your interested. Only covered about 500 miles

Re: 1.4TSI Coil Packs

A friend of a friend has a mk6 golf r with these r8 coil packs. And after looking at my 6r gti he said that there too big for our engines :( however if you manage to find an alternative car that runs a stronger coil pack I will be buying them straight away!!

I will be having a full oil change at the time which is way before the 18000 that is on my VW service plan as I'm on 13000 now. I'm hoping that like you say, with oil changes more frequent. ...

Re: 6R GTI 1.4 Oil Usage Poll

What sort of mileage is yours sitting at? I only use mine at a weekend mainly so tends to sit there a week at a time aswell. Fingers crossed that when the mileage goes up the consumption doesn't rise with it!

Re: 6R GTI 1.4 Oil Usage Poll

Perfect thanks! Seems that I have the newer engine then like you said, what's the difference between new and old? Is it true that they basically revised the engine and fixed everything ?
