Re: Brakes coming on
Definitely not a servo issue. The big clue is the "front right and rear left" - diagonal, which how the two brake hydraulic circuits are split. First check has to be the brake pipes from the master cylinder to the ABS unit - check they have not been crushed. If they are ok, then it will be...

Re: 1.4 petrol engine noise
Fuchs oils okay and VW Group them at factory, though Quantum is it Platinum is also usually available online at a good price, Castrol oils tend to be over priced for what they are. Fuchs categorically do NOT supply VW Group factories. Castrol is the only engine oil factory supplier across the entir...

Sam, is the remote central locking glitchy with both remote key fobs (if you actually got two)? Have you changed the battery in the fob? Have you had a VCDS scan done?

Re: Supermarket or branded fuel? The age old discussion!
There is a HUGE difference in quality between branded and supermarket fuels, for both petrol and diesel. And the very real damage caused by shyte supermarket fuels is pure false economy. It would help to separate legal standards, and then any 'fluffy' optional add-ons. By law, all fuel for road vehi...

Re: 6N2 Fuel Filter Replacement (all models)
Alex - you really ought to highlight that this is for only the PETROL fuel filter. Diesel fuel filters are in the engine bay! :P Also, a really worthwhile suggestion to add is try to change your petrol fuel filter when the tank is nearly empty - ideally a quarter tank full or less. Do it like that, ...

Re: polo 9n3 2006 1.2 emission light on solid
I'm guessing you don't have VCDS - as that would give more detailed info on your problem.
The fundamental issue though is that your heated oxygen sensor is fcukd. Was it a genuine VW sensor? I'm guessing not - probably a generic sensor from Halfrauds or a motor factor.

stiffer damper recommendation on 1.4 TDI Match
I'm wondering if anyone can recommend stiffer dampers for my 1.4 3-pot PD TDI Match. I'm perfectly happy with the ride height (have to deal with some crap roads, and also carry the old folks) - but am really not liking the body control, especially when pressing on in the twisties. I usually tend to ...

Re: Lowering ... Springs???
If you are genuinely happy with the ride and handling, and only seek a lower ride height, then all you need is lowering springs. However, if you intend on lowering it by a large amount, I would recommend going for stiffer dampers too, as there will be a tendency for the suspension to bottom out with...

Favicon has vanished when viewing site via the UK.Polos.net domain. It is still visible on the tigerstyle domain. Any chance of fixing this please?

Thanks Alex.
Many of the legacy spam accounts are listing porn in their urls, so depending on the forum policy, it might be worth having another prune.

Re: Which polo have I got?
The EASIEST way to identify which type your Polo is - look at the seventh (7th) and eighth (8th) digits of the VIN. The easiest place the VIN can be found is the visible VIN at the bottom edge of the windscreen on the passenger side. Furthermore, if you look at the VIN plate sticker on the left susp...
