Sussed it, just had to line it up in a certain way & it comes out, what a complete PITA it is to remove the whole door lock mechanism though :roll: but once out I dismantled the lock with the intention of re-soldering the connections as per a youtube video, I couldn't do this as the PCB is covered ...

My drivers side central locking motor is intermittent & mostly now doesn't work, I've got the central locking motor almost out bar the short bowden cable connecting between the external handle & the central locking unit.
