Re: New GTI + delivery

Average UK waiting time was 10 months ish but judging by some users' confirmed build weeks, it's come closer to 7 - 8 months. Ouch still a while then, I'm not in a mad rush but could be Christmas if I ordered one April - March! I know these come from SA now though, whereas the last one was only Spa...

Re: New GTI + delivery

Been a long time since I have logged on to this forum as I have a 2016 Polo GTI which is now just over 3 years old and I am thinking about changing it for another one as the new one seems to be better in almost every area. Without going through most of the pages on here, looking at the last few page...

Re: 2016 GTI Oil

Thanks, yeah I do service mine yearly.

Was just a bit concerned as the VW 504 00 said for flexible service QI6 long life in the handbook.

2016 GTI Oil

I know this has probably been asked a million times before but I'm just not clear what oil is best for my 2016 Polo GTI. I bought Mobil 1 ESP Formula 5w30 which is VW 504 00 approved, but I thought it was 502 00 and so now not sure whether to use it. I know handbook says both are ok but not entirely...

Re: New GTI + delivery

Can't believe the delay on these cars right now, I've had my 16 plate Polo GTI since March 2016 and I got it 2 months after ordering in January 2016! I appreciate this model wasn't built in South Africa nor was it a brand new just launched model but these delays seem crazy for a Polo. I was thinking...

Re: New GTI

Thought I would say hello. Been scouring this page for a few weeks now reading all the comments, it has taken a while from page one lol. Anyway, I'm a current fiesta ST owner which I will be saying goodbye to in the next few weeks as I have put my order in for a Polo GTI. Quite nervous of the chang...

Re: New GTI

Does anybody know if you can change the digital toggle display in front of the driver from showing the fuel economy since start to the overall fuel economy? I know that you can see this info in the car menu on the media system but just a bit more fiddly when driving, on my previous cars the fuel ec...

Re: New GTI

Well I am upto 750 miles in mine having owned for 1 month today, that will settle down as the year goes on as I have been busy at the moment with a hobby of mine so been back and forth a lot. Still love the car but on the long term trip computer my average MPG is only 33.8 which is a bit lower than ...

Re: New GTI

My reset button seems to be ok so far (touch wood), I always press it gently after hearing so many people have problems on here!

I keep meaning to look in the manual but forget, what does the button next to it do with the two squares and a little clock on?

Re: RE: Re: New GTI

Just done over 350 miles, having picked it up couple weeks ago so gradually running it in! I'm def a convert to the VW family, it's a fantastic car and the best I've owned so far when it comes to ticking all the boxes. Apart from the small boot which I already knew about there's nothing I can fault...

Re: RE: Re: New GTI

Roll on tomorrow then for you! It is worth the wait, still running it in but it is a fantastically built car. Feels so solid and is just a nice place to be all the time. I think the handling is great, it might not have as much weight on the steering as the ST from pulling away but it sharpens up re...
