Re: Whining sound coming from the front

Yep sounds like the gearbox bearings and possibly 5th gear are worn. Very common as gearboxes are weak. Time for a rebuild

Re: Polo 6n2 massive oil leak

It is a breather for the engine. If it is shoving a lot of oil out then I would check the crankcase breather. Am sure it is below the inlet manifold. If that is clear then looks like your engine may have back pressure if so you will need an engine

Re: Climatronic fuse blowing

You may need to use a thin flat blade screwdriver as connectors can be a bit of a pig. I know it sounds stupid but try pressing the release lever and pushing the connector further on before then trying to remove.

Re: Climatronic fuse blowing

I would check the wiring in the doors first as they are common to breaking

Re: Immobilizer Engine Stop

Right ok then I would make sure that the diagnostic port has it's 12v feed to it otherwise it will never work. What diagnostic equipment are you using? Could you try another to eliminate that as possibly being the fault

Re: Immobilizer Engine Stop

Make sure all your dad the are fitted and tight. You need to make sure the feed is also there at the diagnostic port if it keeps coming up with that fault.

Re: Immobilizer Engine Stop

Right. Did you erase fault memory and re check after trying to start? Immobilser are very common like even though it ran before you removed it. Has it been sat round for a while?

Re: Immobilizer Engine Stop

Sounds like the immobilser has failed. Did you swop over the immobilser from the donor vehicle.?

Re: Does a Water pump replacement also need timing belt done?

Just be careful because if you only change the timing belt and not the tensioners etc then any future failure of the timing belt would not be covered under vw warranty. Always change the timing belt as a kit form , available from vw/tps that way you are covered for any damage to engine as long as th...
