Re: Removing stereo surround on 6R Gti
If you have trim tools use them at the sides of the surround, if not use two stiff plastic cards eg aa card.

Re: Steering question
As RUM4MO say’s it’s down the the battery the cold takes a lot of energy out of car batteries and so you’ll get this, in the dark of the morning you’ll find the lights dim when you turn the steering wheel, since the alternator hasn’t kicked in yet. Whack it on a battery charger over night for a few ...

Re: What are those?
First of all i want to say thank you guys for your help :) I am sure that the noise comes from the little plastic covers that these things have and stick to the metal of the rear hatch. At first i thought it was the rear seatbelt mechanism but i recently replaced them all and immediately after leav...

Straight fit, just add a navigation aerial. If it's not a DAB unit it won't have dab and the reversing sensor is in the quadlock

Re: Headlamps
All halogen are crap tbh, you could get a LED projector retrofit kit for around £200 from America, note led and xenon both need afs, headlight washers and an actually projector to be legal

Polo steering wheel retrofit
Easier one would be the mk6golf/polo6rgti steering wheel. None of it is hard to do, just need the right tools a spline set, a torque wrench with extension to fit said splines, a med length flat screwdriver, couple of torx probably just t25 but could be 20 or 30, a trim removal tool and vcds/vag-com ...

Re: Exhaust Needed
Just going to say the exhaust doesn’t actually effect mpg just emissions and noise.
You could just get an exhaust from a wrecked polo and paint it, I noticed mine starting to rust so just whacked some high temp paint on it after removing the rusty bits

Re: Polo steering wheel retrofit
2011 would be the 6R, and it’ll be a straight fit just needs coded in but expect to pay a lot as the mk6 wheels are expensive and rare around the £350 mark then £120 for an airbag. (Polo and golf airbags are not the same despite the same shape) Your car should already have the right clock spring and...
