Re: Dry Dipstick - How much Oil do you get through?

Excellent, I’m glad a very small attempt at humour does not cause offence! Edit:- I am still struggling to understand why that battery got upset/finished off by that possibly first long run. Nine years old yes, but I would have thought that it’s previous use would have reduced its effective capacit...

Re: Dry Dipstick - How much Oil do you get through?

I have a 1.4 and I've never had to top up with oil in my 5 years of ownership ( obviously serviced ) top up slowly and overfilled can do just as much damage.

Re: ciclo. Wife's Golf MK7.5 Ready2Go 1.0 TSI 6MT 200Nm/l 115HP

Mk7.5 golfs are a lovely driving car and well built, I had a 1.5 TSI for a week and handed back to get a GTD, because I knew I'd spend more on retrofitting than the price difference lol. Goodluck in the tests!

Re: Speaker Upgrades

Newbie here, sorry if this has been asked before. My wife has -13 diesel powered Polo, which I use regularly too. As I have a used Focal 2-way set already collecting dust in my garage, naturally I started thinking of mounting those in Her Polo... The picture above here, where the tweeter is mounted...

Re: Album art to the foreground

You will be kissing your drivetrain warranty goodbye with a tune or chip, but from an insurance point of view As long as they're aware and adjust your premium according to your perceived additional risk, you'll have no worries with your coverage if you do have a smash. I have the Nav built in, but ...

Re: Polo 6R to Mk7.5 Tsi Evo R-Line

Have you given it a thorough test drive? If you have and you’re happy with it then no problem. I’d test low speed stop/start driving in particular as the ‘kangarooing’ issue shows up most then. Perhaps get the dealer to give you a written guarantee that if the issue occurs you can reject the car fo...

Re: Polo 6R to Mk7.5 Tsi Evo R-Line

VW have recently admitted there’s an issue with the 1.5 Evo engine in case you’re not aware. Hopefully a software fix is on the way. https://www.honestjohn.co.uk/news/owning-1/2019-01/volkswagen-acknowledges-problem-with-15-tsi-evo-engine/ Great news when I'd been googling the problems and then the...

Polo 6R to Mk7.5 Tsi Evo R-Line

Well that's my time as a polo owner over, 2014 Polo from 30 miles up up 47,000 miles, the car is leaving my possession in a better condition than I got it. Now it's time for life with my Ex-demo Mk7.5 Golf R-line Evo Tsi 150bhp, which will also be getting modified in a similar OEM+ fashion. Still ha...

Re: ROGUE VALETER

Firstly we can all see the funny side of this, but it's more a joke between friends and not for customers, let alone their belongings. I clean cars myself and would never dream of doing that to someone else's property no matter the make or model or age. But reading through your local dealership has ...

Re: Best place to get Dunlop sp sportmaxx tyres for my 2015 BlueGT

Wouldn't opt for SP sportmaxx tbh, I've had them and found them alright (Great in bone dry weather, but any sort or moisture and they're average) but will be going back to Continental or Michelins.

Honest thoughts on the 6C GTi

Evening all, I'm considering changing my car from my 1.4 Polo 6R as I fancy a bit more power. So naturally I considered the mk7 Golf GTI pp which was disappointing and boring, so I'm now considering another polo but this time the lovely 6C GTi and was wondering what everyones thoughts are on them? A...
