Re: GTI and GTI plus owners experiences

Girls car [emoji23] Wow! How insightful and by that I mean misogynistic and ignorant. Thanks Slider09. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Good to hear you’re enjoying your GTI @PoloLeaseLove. Re. cruise control - If your car is the ‘non-plus’ GTI, then it doesn’t have cruise control. As for Front A...

Re: BlueGT, rattle and warranty

On the basis that many wear and tear items and mechanical adjustments are only covered for the first six months / 6,500 miles (whichever is soonest) under VW’s 3 year new car warranty, I doubt rectification of a rattle would be covered nearly three years after first registration. I don’t know if I’d...

Re: Blue GT Help

I’m not aware of overheating issues with the 1.4 ACT engine in the Polo Blue GT.

A quick search on the forum and a Google search on the internet does suggest there may be overheating issues with the 1.4 TDI (diesel) engine used in the Polo.

Re: My Polo R Line

When I first looked at members talking about the "R Line" I thought it was the next step between the SEL DSG 115 and a GTI, but looking at the posts, it's only got the same 115 engine, or is there a higher BHP that they fit to a "R Line", when you mention "R Line" it sounds a bit more sporty than a...

Re: Special customers only event

Thanks for the update @david.stark. I received a ‘we want your car!’ letter in this morning’s post from the dealer I got my car from. It says they are ‘confident that with their part exchange valuation, together with their enhanced new car offers available this month, will see me driving away in my ...

Re: Help needed (photoshop)

I dislike diamond cut wheels with a passion and changed the wheels on my GTI within 3-4 months of getting it. Diamond cut alloys might have great showroom appeal for those that like the ‘bling’ factor, but for me they’re more trouble than they’re worth; They’re susceptible to white worm corrosion. T...

Re: Help needed (photoshop)

Not a Polo GTI but here’s a YouTube video of a black mk6 Golf GTI with black VW Serron alloys; https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NVtUcCn4QIc Personally IMO, I think black wheels on a black car is a bit too much black, and with black wheels in general you loose the detail of the wheel design. Have you th...

Re: Special customers only event

I get invites to these exclusive ‘VIP customer’ events periodically from my VW dealer. I’ve never been curious enough to attend one to see what their ‘too good to be true, once in a lifetime opportunity never to be repeated etc. etc.’ offer is, as the timing of receiving these invites has never coin...

Re: Colour

If you’re hoping it’ll help you choose a colour for a new GTI+, then it probably won’t, as colour choice is a personal thing and one person’s preferred colour will be another person’s least favourite. The GTI colour palette is pretty limited (white, red, blue, black or grey), so not a very inspiring...

Re: Lights on dash

It’s a reminder telling you your car is due to be serviced. The ‘weird shape’ (clock symbol) with the number 116 below it is telling you the number of days left until the next service should be carried out. The 400 miles displayed to the right of the spanner symbol is the maximum number of miles tha...

Re: GTI and GTI plus owners experiences

Self park (Park Assist) rules - except IMO it happily slots the car into gaps I fell are otherwise too narrow for car careless door dings.... I have yet to actually use the feature. Still doubting that it works better than me :P You need to be careful if using it when parallel parking. The Park Ass...

Re: GTI and GTI plus owners experiences

Do you use the reverse camera much? It's such a small car that it really doesn't seem necessary. Visibility all round is fine. I’ve got the reversing camera on my previous generation Polo GTI. It’s an even smaller car than the current Polo, but I do find the reversing camera useful as I have long t...
