What does the GTi + come with over the standard GTi?

Thanks,
Dean
Have a look at page 12 of the price list brochure for the differences - link below;

FYI on the 6R/6C it's not accesed through the wheel well, but by removing the trim piece around the fog light
But the OP has a current model (AW) Polo GTI+, not the previous generation model Polo 6R/6C.

Re: Interior trim

Indeed. I’ve just checked and the price is estimated at around £1500. Ok.... Wow! That’s ridiculous. I get the impression that VW aren’t really interested in undertaking jobs like this, so they price them at a level to deter the customer going ahead with getting it done. There’s also @ risk that on...

Re: Interior trim

By changing the interior trim, presumably you’re referring to the dash pads and trim sections around the front interior door handles and the edge of the centre console? I dare say they can be changed, but I suspect it won’t be cheap. The optional dash pad pack is available on SE and SEL models and c...

Re: New GTI + delivery

Someone mentioned something about pushing the door handle in on the GTI which stops the car 'listening' for the key. Not sure if that's enough of a security measure to put people at ease though. This is the route I'll be taking, it should stop the keyless entry on the doors. Has to be done every ti...

Re: New car advice

I ask because I've seen both the low key and unveiling affairs and just wondered how VW do it. Are we settling on that it depends on the dealer? I think it does depend on the dealer. If your dealer normally does the ‘grand unveiling’ and you want a low key handover, then you should make your salesp...

Re: New car advice

Is there any kind of ceremony to it, like an unveiling of the car? I imagine this depends on the dealership. My car was in the showroom, no covers, the dealer said they'd brought it indoors for the handover because the weather was miserable. I wouldn’t want an unveiling ceremony; a prefer a very lo...

Re: Does the data plug (connect) come as standard on SE?

Its ultimately a data harvesting tool also, so they can track your speed, your ECU, a remap, your location - all very valuable! Does it really do all that, or is it just an unconfirmed 'conspiracy theory'? If it's true, I'm glad I unplugged it. I wouldn't want how I drive my car to affect a...

@EmiLuiZ; good to hear that the emergency braking worked as intended.

However observant we are when driving, there will be times when the unexpected actions of other road users or pedestrians make front assist / emergency braking a feature worth having.

Re: Wireless charging unit vw polo 2018-19

hi, yes i know but that is the point of wireless charging to , that we not have to connect it with a cable :D Is wireless charging available right now? It was disabled/removed from spec for a host of VWs and other VAG cars early/mid last year after it had some non-compliance issue with radio/broadc...

Re: Anyone know where I can get the OEM LED Headlights online?

Wow! €1,999 (roughly £1,725) for LED headlight units to retrofit; assuming they’re compatible with the RHD Polo. https://www.kufatec.com/en/all-products/led-headlights-with-led-drl-for-vw-polo-aw1-42270 If they’re not plug and play, there’ll also be the cost of getting them fitted. Makes the £975 co...

Any one know how accurate the VW Tracker is ? My GTi+ was supposedly going to build stage, week 11, to start yesterday Mon11th. The tracker still says build week confirmed instead of build in progress. like most orders, end of this month I will have been waiting 1 year for this bloody car. It’s woe...

Re: 19" 8.5j Wheels on a Polo - Will it work?

Having wheels sticking out beyond the bodywork is going to look crap IMO. Agree. And in the UK I think it’s illegal to run wheels that protrude beyond the bodywork if they could catch / injure a person. There would also probably be insurance implications. Might not be illegal or have insurance impl...
