Re: LED headlight wobble

My previous car (mk6 Golf GTD) with xenon headlamps used to do this. Noticed it when I first got the car but got used to it to the point I no longer noticed it after a few months. Can’t say I’ve noticed a beam wobble on my previous generation Polo GTI with LED headlamps - maybe they do but because I...

Re: What did you and your Polo do today?

Quite addictive indeed. :D It certainly is addictive. I like Collinite wax. I have Collinite 845 insulator wax in my detailing Arsenal. 845 is pretty much the liquid version of the 476s paste wax. As it’s liquid it’s easy to apply and buff off, is inexpensive and has great durability; a couple of t...

Re: T-Cross

T cross is a Golf based vehicle..... soon to be an R version. I thought the T-Roc was the Golf based SUV and there is to be an R version of the T-Roc. The T-Cross is smaller than the T-Roc and described by Top Gear (and other websites) as the Polo crossover / Polo based SUV. The engine range in the...

Re: What did you and your Polo do today?

@S_94; looks very good for a first attempt. In your third picture, it looks as if your front towing hook cover doesn’t sit completely flush with the bumper, so it’s probably either worked loose or wasn’t clipped in properly when it was fitted, so you might want to push it back in place. I use this a...

Re: Tyres

Good choice, 'A' rated for grip/braking in the wet and 'A' for noise, not so good for economy but always a compromise somewhere. Michelin PS4 and PS4S are getting pretty good reviews on other VW forums (golfgtiforum.co.uk and vwroc.com) where the majority of members have performance VW’s - GTI’s an...

Re: Ride Qaulity Polo BlueGT

I remembered to check my GTI’s straight line steering when I was using it tonight. On a straight road with no camber or slight camber it runs straight and true and the steering wheel is straight. On roads with a heavier camber, it does gradually drift towards the nearside of the road, and the steeri...

Re: GTI and GTI plus owners experiences

Has anyone fitted a twin front/rear dashcam and routed the cable from the rear to the front cam through the car? If so how did you route the cable front-back? As afaik there are certain things such as the curtain airbags to avoid which might make routing it across the roof liner difficult, and rout...

Re: BlueMotion Tech Vs BlueGT

Thanks for clearing that up, so if it's the 1.4tsi 150bhp engine it's the blue GT with BlueMotion features. Just need to find one to buy! Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk Yes, it is. When you find one and need to arrange insurance, you may find that some price comparison sites and insurers vehic...

Re: BlueMotion Tech Vs BlueGT

Bluemotion technology is the term used by VW for fuel efficiency and CO2 / emissions reduction technology such as ; - stop start systems - brake energy recuperation systems - turbocharging - design features to improve aerodynamics - low rolling resistance tyres Most - if not all - VW cars will have ...

Re: Polo AW Photo Gallery

Really don't know why I was on the fence over this colour, it's absolutely the best choice (in my opinion) on the Polo GTI. Only the plain white with black roof gets close to it, it just came back from the detailers getting a ceramic coat that will hopefully last a few years. That looks stunning! 😎

Re: New GTI + delivery

I’d not want the dealer to apply Guard X, Lifeshine or any similar product to my car. If they were prepared to do it at no cost, I’d just ask them to supply the materials and I’d do it myself. Preparation is key to the effectiveness, longevity and durability of these products. The car’s paintwork ne...

Re: GTI and GTI plus owners experiences

Although it only rubs intermittently I’ve book mine in for them to inspect the wheel arch liners and I suspect that they will keep it in for several days, as they’re arranging a loan car for me It's a 30 min fix. If they look at your car early enough, they might get the parts in same day. Is everyo...

Re: What did you and your Polo do today?

Wow, was there actually any need for them to do that, I hate it when that happens. I take pictures of my cars every time I leave it in a car park now, whether someone is there next to me when I park or not, maybe I'm a bit paranoid!! Don’t get me started on public car parks and other driver’s parki...

You’re lucky to get a 5 year factory warranty - hasn’t been available on UK cars since the middle of last year.

Re: GTI/GTI+ PCP Deposit Contribution

There’ve been very few VW offers of any sort on the GTI / GTI+. I suspect it’s meeting (and exceeding) all the sales targets VW set for it, so they don’t need to offer any buyer incentives to help generate sales. I think both the GTI and GTI+ may have been initially included under the Polo 12 months...
