Re: Match vs SEL, Facelift vs not... what to choose?!
Enjoy your new car. It’ll be good to hear how you’re getting on with it once you’ve had it a few weeks.

Re: Match vs SEL, Facelift vs not... what to choose?!
@strategygoose - welcome to the forum. I’m pretty certain the very last of the pre-facelift Polos had the centrally positioned ‘Polo’ badge on the tailgate. I think those cars also had the same in car tech that the facelift cars got. Edit; just had a look at used Polos on VW’s website and yes, late ...

Depending on the OP’s age, cost of insurance might be a factor - and potentially a significant cost -with a GTI.PoloGTInoob wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 5:10 pm If you're looking for a Polo DSG, why not consider the GTI?

Re: New edition 25 polo gti
Thanks for giving me your information that you know but still don't understand why they can't give me an idea of build date plus I asked the sales man what was going on and he could not give me any idea what's happening at VW. Considering all the GTI addition 25 where all sold end of November 23. B...

Can anyone through some light on or...

Re: Polo GTI confused gearbox
Wow, you have a GTI and don't accelerate hard :D No, the usual routes I drive are so congested and the roads are single carriageway, so most of the time it’s only possible to go with the flow of the traffic. IMHO there are limited opportunities to use a GTI to its full potential, so I won’t be repl...

Re: Polo GTI confused gearbox
How many miles has your car done? Service intervals for the 6 speed wet clutch DQ250 are 40k miles.
With the DSG in my 2020 Polo GTI+ I don’t recognise the behaviour that you describe, but then I rarely accelerate very hard in my car.

Re: Please help! 2020 Match TSI - Turbo failure at 35,000 miles
I’m a little confused as you’ve said in your post that your car is a year old but you’ve also said it’s a 2020 car purchased in Nov 2022. I’m assuming it’s the latter - a 2020 car, so it’ll now be between 3 and 4 years old. Are you taking the dealer’s word for the turbo actuator being rusty or have ...

Re: Polo GTI "whistle" sound
I wonder if this could be it. It would make sense that the infotainment fan would only come on after I've been driving for a while. It continues when I turn the system off but you'd expect the fan to continue anyway. Worth trying a couple of journeys with the infotainment unit switched off to see w...

Re: 2021-22 polo GTI Questions
I’ve seen VW’s Pure White paint with codes of LC9A, C9A, 0Q and 0Q0Q - I think all are correct, although the ‘official’ VW paint code for pure white - e.g. when buying touch up paint at a VW dealer - seems to usually be LC9A. I think that historically, some VW paint colours have been shared with Aud...

Re: Polo GTI "whistle" sound
I can hear it. No idea what it is though - sorry 🙁. Can’t say I’ve noticed a similar noise with my 2020 GTI+, although I have my radio on 100% of the time, so I’d be unlikely to hear it as the noise is very subtle in your video clip. I’ll try and remember to turn the radio off next time I use my car...

Re: Auto door lock - disable?
I can adjust this in the radio menu in my car, it's under locking and opening That option doesn’t exist on my pre-facelift 2020 GTI+. I had a T-Roc as a courtesy car in 2019 and that car did have the option to enable / disable auto locking in the car settings via the infotainment screen. Not being ...

Re: New Buyer Advice!
Wow now that’s a comprehensive answer, even though I’m not interested buying a new car yet it’s good to know the pitfalls of the vw dealerships Thanks! Once I got started, I didn’t know when to stop! 🤣. There’s probably more I could add, although I’ll wait to see if the OP comes back with any furth...

Re: New Buyer Advice!
@osullivj21; welcome to the forum. Firstly, apologies for the very long post; it’s a bit of a brain dump but hopefully it answers many of the questions you’ve asked. I don’t have an R Line but do have a current shape Polo (a 2020 pre facelift GTI+). I’ve owned it from new and on a positive note, in ...
