My daughters 1.0 litre Polo 6N2 has problems with the gear shift lever staying in the reverse position.
The rubber block on the bottom of the lever is missing.
I am having trouble trying to source a replacement lever (Part No. 6N0711112B ).

It gives me a bargaining point on price of the car,
because It is a little bit noisy on start up.
If I buy it I will replace chain, tensioner etc. for my own piece of mind.

I have just cleaned the earths and the defect is still there.
So I will order a DIS module and when I've changed it I'll post the outcome on the site.

I have just got out from underneath the car and I can confirm that there is no ABS system fitted on it and this agrees
with the vehicle data codes sticker inside the service schedule booklet.
