Re: Best wax for black cars
Firstly, black hole is a glaze - not a wax, so it's purpose is to go on after washing/drying to fill out swirls and add depth. (and for the record it is VERY good at that) After this you need to wax and then seal your car if you want that deep wet look shine. I use Fourthwax Summer wax and Fourthwa...

Re: GTI 6c With DTUK box and running decat
programmes are for different maps. so the way the power is delivered is different across the 3 maps. Then +1+2+3 is the amount of boosting it does and how aggressively it puts its power down. If you go decat downpipe it will throw engine management light up unless you get it mapped and DTUK box wont...

Re: GTI 6c With DTUK box and running decat
Guys has anyone got a DTUK and a decat pipe on their GTI 6c 1.8? I'm considering the decat to reduce restriction and improve spool from turbo and the DTUK for the ease of removability. BUT.... Do they work together? Does the box do anything to block the signal from the exhaust O2 sensor? I've seen ...

Re: Polo gti 1.8 centre box removal
Is this for the new GTI? Like 2015+ model?
Been looking at getting centre silencer removed but if I can get a new pipe to fit then even better?!

Intake fitted on my 6c GTI
Got my intake kit today, so obviously wasted no time in getting it fitted! Really happy with new noise from it (although it sounds like stock recirc valve is dumping pressure at 2500rpm??? Can anyone shed any light on this for me???) Seems to move better lower in the revs now as well. Mega chuffed. ...

Re: 6c GTI intake size
I'll let you know tomorrow when my intake kit gets delivered. Seems that any intake at all is a big improvement on standard though, all of them I've seen are seeing 10-15bhp increase, heat soak or not. Standard must be very restrictive.
Fair play to you though for trying to build your own!

Re: Issues with iPhone in new GTI
Mine does this when I use non-genuine cables. If I use a proper Apple one (the expensive ones from the shop, not ebay cheap ones) then it works perfectly.

Re: What colour 6c GTI have you got?
Mine is deep black and (when it is clean) it really is amazing!
Got to really keep on top of it though, or it just looks like any other black - so would steer clear if you don't enjoy cleaning your car.
