Re: Any last ideas please before I scrap this Polo!!
Hi there, Thanks for the reply, much appreciated- I called the garage just now and suggested your idea but he says sometimes the car runs fine and it's an intermittent 'jump' and he thought if the hose had burst or split that would be causing a constant problem rather than every now and again....i'm...

Re: Sudden engine cut out on a bypass! not amusing
Hi, Many thanks for the reply- I'm not sure as he can't recall and think was a bit freaked out by what was happening- 17 yr old new driver! The local VW indie that it was serviced at said that the juddering maybe the coils, and to replace all three for certainty if that is the issue. Not sure about ...

Re: VW Indie Garges in Harrogate/Ripon area?
Yep, thanks Alan, reckon we'll do that- I've offered to go halves with him to lessen the impact on his Saturday job wages! Auto Logic said around £170-£190 inc VAT for a full service, £90 for a basic one....

Re: VW Indie Garges in Harrogate/Ripon area?
Hi, yeah, mine is in for MOT at the moment. They are really good mechanics at this place. Genuine and honest. Its hard to come by these standards nowadays. These are VW, Audi and BMW specialists that have many years experience working on these type of cars, so not like a general garage that work on...

Re: VW Indie Garges in Harrogate/Ripon area?
Great, thanks Alan- just called Auto Logic now and told them that I got their name from this forum, and the guy at the garage said yours was in there now! I'll tell our son and see what he wants to do -use AutoLogic or the local garage, seem pretty similar on price as far as basic and bigger service...

VW Indie Garges in Harrogate/Ripon area?
Hi all,
Wondering if any local HG postcode members have any suggestions for a local VW indie garage for a service, seen Vasstech in Knaresborough after a quick Google?
Many thanks!

Newbie- 04 plate 1.2 Polo SE- OIL LEAK!!
Hi all We've just bought an 2004 108k miler 1.2 petrol SE for eldest son. All well other than an oil leak-took to local garage and he whipped off the plastic engine cover. He said looks like the end of the engine block has been removed at some point as spotted sealant around the join of the end of t...
