Had my car in the dealers today. They've confirmed my unit isn't functioning as it should and the software needs updating. They've had to order an SD card in for it to be done which doesn't arrive for a few days.
The Polo courtesy car I had was brand new and that worked fine, so presumably it can ...

Re: Issues with iPhone in new GTI
How do you find out what version of the soft wear it is?
You go onto Menu - Setup - System Information
Mine looks like this:
Hardware : H24
Software : 0245
Media Codec : 2101.0.0.10
I asked at my dealer and they said they'd plug it in and see if there was an update. They didn't know if there ...

Re: Issues with iPhone in new GTI
That's interesting, how long have you had the car. Wondering if it's a software issue. Are you able to find out what version of the software you've got.Pavel wrote:My iPod classic works fine through USB. No jumping or cutting out.

Re: Issues with iPhone in new GTI
Ive had the same issue myself with both an iPhone and iPod and was going to start a topic before I saw this. First noticed it with my iPod and thought it might be because it has a lot of music on. Plus iPod classics aren't a current product anymore so didnt think it would be worth my while going to ...

Re: Possible brake pedal issue?
No, there's not been any fix from the dealers. They initially said it was a feature, now there saying there's nothing wrong with it.
Going to monitor it for a bit, hopefully it'll either get worse so it can be fixed or I'll get used to it!

Re: Possible brake pedal issue?
Cheers for the reply
It does seem to be an issue from the top of the pedal. Feels like it is sticking. If the car wasn't brand new if just assume it needed greasing.
It's going bank to the dealers tomorrow for them to take another look at it.

Re: VW Tracker - different dates if you login.
Mine was the same. I was given 2 different build weeks, the later of the 2 appeared to be the correct one in the end. The tracker seemed to jump stages as well.
It seems the more accurate thing is to contact VW direct. I did it via Twitter and they replied the same day with info which turned out to ...

Possible brake pedal issue?
I have recently taken delivery of a GTI. Has anyone else noticed there is a bit of dead travel at the top of the brake pedal? It almost sticks slightly before releasing. It only does it every 3rd brake application.
I've had it in at my local dealers and was told 'they all do that sir' so wondered ...

Re: GTI boot size
I've just got a new GTi and our pushchair *just* fits. There's a bit of space left for other odds and sods but not much, and coming from a Focus it does appear a bit small. But there I guess it would as I've gone for a smaller car.
