being as you have an early 6c i'm sure you will just have mirror link and not the full app connect and imho mirror link is not worth the time of day (i specc'd my gti with mirror link and tried to use it once and that's it) i'd recommend changing the unit in the glove box and then getting the whole...

after a quick search.

2017 plate polos are a 6C even though the vin states 6R

it appears theres a set for the 6R but not the 6C.

im not 100% on this but the 6R lights arent compatable with the 6C

ive fitted one that i got off aliexpress.

its a emblem cam. all fully working with the 842b unit

just stuck with an issue where it will need resetting unless you turn ignition on as soon as the car is unlocked

*UPDATE*

it seems that if i unlock the car and wait a few seconds to turn ignition on then the camera doesnt work and needs a reset

if i jump in and turn ingition on straight away then it works

any ideas what might be causing it?

UPDATE! I think its on some kind of 12 hour timer. no idea why I soft reset last night 9.20pm (i was bored) whilst checking the coding and it still worked at 9am this morning when i parked up at a store. however returning to the car after shopping it needed another soft reset May be worth checking ...

I've changed the unit out to a unit with carplay capability but that was all coded to the car by VW I've coded it in the infotainment section 5F byte 19 reverse camera enable I've realised that a soft reset by long pressing the power button makes it start working again Sent from my SM-G975F using T...

ive just installed a flip emblem reverse camera and it works perfectly untill the car has been left off for a while and then i need to unplug the main connection block to the MIB II unit in order to get the camera to start working again. camera still flips up but isnt recognised by the unit, not eve...

im an idiot

just needed to ground the black cable to a bolt behind the dash cover next to the drivers side door
