Re: 2015 Polo SEL Squeaking - mostly over uneven roads and bumps
Hi there, My car has been into the dealers another two times. They replaced the control arm bushes on both sides, and on the last visit, all of the suspension on the affected side was stripped down, greased and rebuilt, but they could not find the noise. This morning, the noise returned. Does anyone...

Re: 2015 Polo SEL Squeaking - mostly over uneven roads and bumps
Hi there, I also had my car in at the dealers today to no avail. I notice the exact same noise as you have over bumps, but only on my passenger side. It dies down as the car warms up, so it did not make the noise after the 40 mi drive to the dealership. They checked the car and could not find fault,...

Re: polo 6r dust behind dash
Hi, would love you guys' help with this. I have gotten the cluster out of the car, but I am stuck on trying to get the front covers off of the cluster. It looks as if the buttons are stopping the covers coming off. There is no mention of the buttons in this post, but I see they are removed. I can ta...

Re: polo 6r dust behind dash
Hi there, I plan on doing this at some point next week but I have a few questions. To get the top cover of the steering column off to get at the two screws: how difficult is it to get off on a 6C and how did you go about it? For the actual screws to take the cluster out - what size screwdriver did y...

Re: 6C Composition Media Click/Mute/Fade Problem
My Software is the same version: 0138, however my Part Number is different: 3Q003820 (which I understand is the older model of headunits from early 2015).
Is your head unit one which will allow you to enter the code for App Connect? If so, it looks like yours is the newer one.

Re: 6C Composition Media Click/Mute/Fade Problem
I had this a few months ago, and then one day I turned the radio on and the screen never came on - you were still able to control the radio through the multifunction interface on the wheel and screen between the dials. This only happened once. For that reason, I took it in and they updated the compo...

Makes no difference for me - I'm up in Scotland. Hopefully the others can make use of your feedback, though!

Apologies, I looked again and seen the last picture is clearly from the older Polo. Sorry.

Re: Doors Rattling
I visited my VW dealership for my booked appointment this morning. After my less than brilliant experience with them on the phone I was expecting difficulty. But really what I experienced was a model way to treat a customer. Firstly, the chap on the service desk was more than helpful. On the assump...

Re: Doors Rattling
Also, no point in applying to the glass as the pressure on the top felt seal will still be there regardless of if you've applied the Krytox. It is the top felt seal which is rubbing against the car body.

Re: Doors Rattling
Some internet research for Krytox shows up many benefits, one of which is the products inertness up to 260 degrees celcius. It won't react with the surface of the rubber. I think the creaking noise only becomes apparent once certain shampoos or waxes (silicone containing) end up on the felt and the ...

Re: Anyone else think their GTI is s**t? or any polo
the issue with painted metal visible is next to the trim on the inside of the wing mirror and just above the door speaker so not in a position that is obvious that it can't be helped, it's just that the trim and door cards don't fit it wouldn't be too bad on a black/dark car but white it stands rig...

Re: Doors Rattling
Glad it worked for you! I have found the creak sometimes returns if I've just washed the car but once the moisture from the seals dries out it goes silent again so not a problem.Scott Bounce wrote:Applied Slug Slime this evening, what a difference!

Re: Doors Rattling
Ordered Slug Slime, will post results when it arrives and applied. Hopefully it worked for you! I got that one too when I bought my own Krytox and reckoned there was more of the fluid in it. Fingers crossed. Good to see another Scottish user :D I know, my car is coming up for its first service, hav...
