Re: Antenna Amplifier?
If the aerial adapter has a wire it needs to be powered. Connect it to an ignition live I had it connected to blue/white on the harness adapter before but that killed the reception rather than making it better, same for blue/white coming from head unit e.g. when it's connected, the radio can't pick...

Antenna Amplifier?
Hi, I fitted a new head unit (2015 Kenwood) in my car but my head unit doesn't have a blue wire (power continuous) coming out of it to connect the blue wire from the antenna adapter to. FM radio seems to come in fine although can be patchy depending on location, so i'm not sure if I need to connect ...

9N3 Factory Stereo Removal, Anything Else Needed?
Hi, I'm looking to fit a new aftermarket single DIN stereo in my 9n3 (factory one keeps skipping tracks on CD). I've found this adapter kit on eBay but I'm slightly confused. Is it as simple as removing the leads and connecting them up? It says something about having to connect up a red wire on the ...

Re: Used Polo Help
It could be due to a faulty lambda sensor causing it to over fuel. The exhaust fumes would normally smell quite rich it so Might be worth getting it checked over Found out the cause of the poor fuel consumption and gears sometimes not locking into first/reverse. Slipping clutch. I thought the slow ...

Re: Used Polo Help
Coolant gone down already? Have you looked and checked the oil cap to see if their is a creamy substance? If so could be a head gasket problem shouldnt really drain coolant that quick I recently took the car to garage and they fixed the coolant issue, said there was just an air lock in the system w...

How to fit this part on?
Hi, the original drivers foot rest was detached when I bought this car and i'm not exactly sure how it fits on, there seems to be a screw cover of some sort missing but I don't know exactly what it's called or where to purchase it. I've attached a few images, thanks for any help. http://imgur.com/xs...

It could be due to a faulty lambda sensor causing it to over fuel. The exhaust fumes would normally smell quite rich it so Might be worth getting it checked over I've got a 9n3 gti (1.8t) and I get 300 miles to a full tank (cost £40 to fill up) depending on how I drive Seems like yours is defiantly...

Re: Used Polo Help
Thats pretty horrendous Was it filled till it clicked? You shoud see a good 150 miles between full and half at least Yes lol. Was just over 40 litres full. Definitely running a lot smoother after service and gearbox though, even the cambelt was only recently changed and tires pumped to recommended ...

Re: Used Polo Help
How many miles are you getting to a tank? Did they change the fuel filter? Yes, fuel filter was changed. Around 80 miles has taken tank from full to half, around 30 of those were on motorway and the others in town, stop start driving on hills in traffic as well. I do still have a tendency to over-r...

Re: Used Polo Help
Hi, I found out that it's for the air filter, so it connects to the engine cover. Does it affect fuel economy? Because my fuel economy seems to be terrible even after servicing.alexperkins wrote:Can you follow the hose and see where it goes to

Used Polo Help
Hi, I recently bought a used Polo 1.4 16v and it doesn't have it's original engine cover (ordered a new one) and I discovered this hose under the hood after having it fully serviced. Can anyone tell me what it's for and where it connects to? Tried connecting to engine cover but the internal diameter...
