Re: New GTI

Looks like my GTI is still at the port waiting for a boat.. been like that for almost 2 weeks now :( I was thinking yesterday I wish I'd have specced the central armrest now as going for an auto box I guess I have a spare hand a lot of the time (apart from occasionally using it to steer hehe :)) Ah ...

Re: New GTI

Cheers for the reply guys - appreciate the help. I did think £162 was a bit of a p*** take! Sounds more like throwing a price at it to blow it out the water so I didn't go for it more than anything.

Re: New GTI

Nope but that's a much simpler option for me! Still looks good too judging from their images. Cheers for the link! Might order that up when it finally arrives. I almost fell off my chair when they said £162.00.. I've been told by my retailer that they suggest it'll still be 'a few weeks'. I hate the ...

Re: New GTI

Does anyone know if the dealers would change the gti badges to the golf gti badges? I think they look smart and would be easier if they done it :P. I asked my dealer that exact question and it seemed to confuse him, probably best done by yourself after pick up. Does anyone know any sites that sell ...

Re: New GTI

Been asking Live Chat all of last week for an update and kept getting told it's on it's way to the port and can take 7 working days to arrive there. Once there they will be able to tell me a date it's due to be shipped. I left it over the weekend and had yesterday off.. got into work this morning ...

Re: New GTI

Excited this afternoon: http://i.imgur.com/7Ir0pCt.png Boom! I'm with you on that one Monty! My tracker never updated from build week and then suddenly went to in transit. I spoke to the live chat a couple of times though who updated me and said it was in build. Had a check with them this morning ...

Re: New GTI

Also just used the live chat as suggested (thank you!) and this is what I got told

"Thank you for waiting. Your vehicle began build this week. It is currently at checkpoint 5/8. This is the assembly checkpoint. We allow up to 2 weeks for the vehicle to complete build."

Re: New GTI

Saw a blue GTI coming up towards Turners Hill crossroads on the way home last night, anyone from here? Quickie.. my build week is this week (w/c 18th April). Do we know when the trackers get updated etc? I'm still saying scheduled for this week so was just wondering. I know there's still 2 and a ...

Re: New GTI

Local to Gatwick then? I collected my new GTI back in Feb from Crawley VW. I'm 2 minutes from Gatwick Airport myself and have seen a handful about, will be good to have another one in the area! Yep - work a couple of minutes from Gatwick myself but live just outside of Crawley. What colour is yours ...

Re: New GTI

Morning guys! Literally sat and read a good 50+ pages of this forum yesterday and decided to sign up this morning. Ordered up a Polo GTI towards the end of Feb (I think! Times been a blur!) and it's due to start it's build w/c 18th April, so next week! Really looking forward to picking the car up ...

Re: New GTI

Same build week as you guys too! Would be chuffed with a second week delivery in May. What are you guys doing with taking delivery of the car? I'm tempted to get them to keep all the 'wrapping' as such on and sort it all out myself at home?
