Re: Weird Clutch Clunk

Your diagnosis was absolutely spot on Alex! It was the release bearing.

VW are replacing the clutch kit and flywheel for me under warranty later this week/early next week :)

Re: Weird Clutch Clunk

Thanks Alex.

Had some real difficulty getting into first gear whilst driving about today. All other gear changes are OK it seems.

Really worried VW are going to say it's not covered by warranty. I've had the car for less than 1000 miles. I don't drive like an idiot as well when it comes to the ...

Weird Clutch Clunk

Hello all,

Strange problem when depressing and lifting the clutch pedal when the car is in neutral. Lets off a single "clunk" from what appears to be the engine bay area. On Monday when I first noticed it happening it also clunked when moving off from first but hasn't done it since. Seems to be ...

Question about VW Boot Badge Mechanisim

Hi all,

Most likely me being stupid but my boot only seems to open if I press the boot open button on my keyfob. With central locking unlocked the boot never seems to open by using the VW Badge.

Any ideas?

Re: Solution needed for replacement for TPK

Been looking at the Dynavin N6 units recently. They look OEM and have great functionality as well. Anybody on the forums had any experiences with them?

iPod holder for glove compartment

Hello everybody.

I'm looking for an iPod holder/dock that can attach to my Polo's (2014 Polo) glove compartment. At the moment it is loose but the sound of it rattling around inside the glove compartment is highly irritating.

Does anybody have any recommendations?

Thanks,

Jamie

Re: Solution needed for replacement for TPK

I probably will go with a different seller in all honesty. There are a couple more listed for slightly more, but with things like the GPS antenna etc included.

My only problem now is getting them all installed and removing the old TPK wiring. Replacing the unit itself seems straight forward but I ...

Re: Solution needed for replacement for TPK

The fear I have with buying the unit off eBay is what if the "code" they claim to have for the head unit doesn't work with my Polo?

Re: Solution needed for replacement for TPK

Couple of questions that I have before I take the plunge:

1) Will my existing DAB aerial (for RCD 310) work with the new RS 315?

2) Will the installed mic for the TPK kit (seems to be tucked behind the tim of the driver's side A-pillar) work with the new unit?

Thanks
