Ecotek Valve

Has anyone fitted an Ecotek Valvle on the 6n 1.4 8v CL.

Could you let me know how easy it was and whether you have seen any improvement on your fuel consumption

Cheers Ladies and Gents :P

you car needs a service hence the service insp.
it really depends on when it was last serviced and whether they reset the service counter at the time.
your vw should need servicing at least once a year

So are you saying that i should change the thermostat?

If so i will have a look in my trusty haines manual and see how i go about doing that.

Also any ideas if i can pick the part up from halfords?
If not i think i know where else to get one from.

Then when i drive around in town ...

Have you tried looking at your sony head unit manual.
Try connecting the head unit so it is always on and see if that works, this bypasses the ignition wire. I had to do this once my head unit stopped working. It worth a shot

I had the same problem, i think its the ignition chamber.
After you turn your car on try rocking your key and see if that turns your stereo on.(I found by rocking the key even a small amout the head unit would come on)
If that works chances are its the ignition. Just rewire your head unit to be on ...
