Never really understood why that wasn't more widely adopted. When you consider things like ABS, airbags, cruise control, etc, etc, rapidly propagated to all manufacturers. I had it on a Sierra 35 years ago!funkyg wrote: Sat Oct 26, 2024 1:44 pmreally missed the heated quick clear screen from previous my Fiesta

Re: 6C Armrest Help Please
For anyone interested, the Chinese knock-off arrived to day. It's covered in textured vinyl rather than the fabric of the original, but matches the bottom half quite well. It's a little bit more flimsy but for less than £8 delivered, I can live with that.

Re: 6C Armrest Help Please
I could share you pictures if you want.
What kind/location/detail ?
Thanks, but if you could just compare my pic to your armrest & advise if there are any more parts that would be great. But having dug around some more, it seems as though there aren't. Luckily AliExpress have a cheap ...

6C Armrest Help Please
Looks like my armrest was damaged during the last MOT. This is mine now with some cable ties preventing any further splitting of the arms that form the hinge.

But it feels like there should be more to it. Does anyone have an exploded diagram from a parts list or willing to post a pic ...

Re: Impressions of a mk8.5 facelift Golf
Age and advancing years does tend to influence car choice IMHO. My next car is likely to be something with a more compliant ride than my GTI+ and out and out speed won’t be a big priority. It’s quite likely it won’t be wearing a VW badge
That's where I am now. My 2015 SEL has been pretty decent ...

Re: Anyone Switched From a 6C to a BZ?
Thanks.
I've no use for the GTI or even R Line & having checked VW stock, there isn't a single used Style model available anywhere. But looking at the R Lne asking prices, they're ridiculous at just a couple of thousand less than BMW ask for a similar age/mileage 1 Series!

Re: Anyone Switched From a 6C to a BZ?
Many thanks, that pretty much backs up what I've read in reviews. Prices soaring while quality/usability declines.
May wait & see how the new BMW 1 Series is.

Anyone Switched From a 6C to a BZ?
Looking at replacing my 6C & considering the BZ. Anyone here made the same switch who could offer their thoughts?

Re: Space Saver Tyre Pressure?
Edit:- I use 15" alloys on my wife's 2015 VW Polo 1.2TSI 110PS SEL in Winter time
Just out of curiosity, do you notice any appreciable difference in ride quality on 15" rims? I'd really like to soften the ride on mine & had thought about dropping down to the 60 profile on 15", hoping that more ...

Re: Space Saver Tyre Pressure?
B pillar label only references the TPMS, no pressures there.
I guess VW were just too cheap to provide the correct size spare for the SEL (16") & probably the GTI (17") too. The 185/60/15 being standard for the rest of the range, there was no need for additional pressures as it would be a like-for ...

Re: Space Saver Tyre Pressure?
Thanks, I guessed at 2.2 but I suppose not that critical in the short term.
But I was surprised at the difference in diameter. There should be theoretically little difference between the two but the 15" measures 25mm/1" more.

Space Saver Tyre Pressure?
Washing the car the day before it's MOT I found a bulge in the sidewall of one of the tyres. Annoying as it's only done a few thousand miles since fitted. Stuck the spare on which I thought was supposed to be full size but it's not. Tyres are 215/45/16 & the spare is a 185/60/15! So can't get it MOT ...

Re: New actuator for a 2013 1.2 tsi ( and maybe turbo )
I'm a bit confused about what exactly is meant by "actuator" & it not being available as a part. My 2015 1.2 TSI 110 started throwing up intermittent EPC light recently & OBD11 gave a code of P334B00 (charge pressure actuator). That's this part tucked away at the back of the engine bay.
