Re: Sat Nav
My wife's Polo has a Kenwood fitted. It is a lot of trouble: we had to pester the dealer to get a booster from Kenwood to receive traffic info, and the map updates are expensive and difficult to obtain. If you go the Kenwood route make sure the unit is mounted in a place where the SD card slot is ...

Re: 6C Sat Nav
We have a booster fitted, and it works very well. Kenwood would only supply it to a dealer so we got it via a warranty claim.
This is the email we received from [email protected]:
Unfortunately this is not a part that can be purchased.

I've googled "conc brew" but can't find a definition. What do you mean? :)
We don't worry what petrol we put in as long as it is 95 ron. Round here the choice is Shell, BP, Esso or Morrisons. They all seems to perform equally well.
Morrisons is typically 2p or 3p per litre cheaper than the others,

I prefer the way golf buggies work - the engine restarts when you press the accelerator.

If you are paying £12 per day it's not a courtesy car, it's a rental!
My wife had similar problems in her Smart Car. After 13 weeks investigation (with Mercedes themselves involved at the later stages) the only cure was a replacement head unit.

Re: swapping between the issued keyfobs
There has been some chat about this in the Skoda Fabia forum. (Our Fabia fobs appear identical to our Polo ones.)
The batteries that fit OK are apparently 2025, 2026, and 2032. The 2032 is a little thicker because it has a slightly higher capacity.

Advice on lights
Yesterday evening I had to drive along a busy country road in the fens in the 2016 Polo. There was a lot of mud on the road after the recent snow/thaw and there was a continuous stream of traffic coming the other way. At times it was almost impossible to see the verge or the centre line against the ...

My wife's GVN60 is now reporting that the maps are out of date, with a link to the Garmin web page. When I visit that I discover that there is no update available yet!

My wife had a year's free insurance with VW when she bought it new. The renewal premium with VW was more than twice as much as Churchill, her precious insurer. Check around!

@Philmar: I contacted Kenwood this morning and requested the Part Number. This was the response:
Unfortunately this is not a part that can be purchased. We supply this part, on an ad-hoc basis, to VW dealerships (at their request) if they have an issue with poor TMC reception.

The dealer has asked Kenwood for the part number and is waiting for them to get back.
