Re: Polo 6c wiper clicking sound

Sounds as though the wiper blades are 'sticking' at each end of travel often caused by greasy road grime or polish. Suggest you try cleaning the windscreen with neat screenwash fluid or something similar as a first attempt at sorting it. May need new wipers?

Re: Engine Jerks

If they think it is an ECU issue they could re-flash the ECU. Had to have this done to a previous VW car.

Re: Changing the battery

If the charger is suitable for EFB battery it usually says in the instructions. You need to connect to the positive in the normal way but negative needs to be connected to a body earth point and not the battery.

Re: Removing battery and Radio Code?

If the radio is the VW one that came with the car then the radio is 'paired' with the car and the code is stored in the car memory so will not be lost. If the car has stop/start then read this thread also: viewtopic.php?f=56&t=73955

Front wheel camber angle 6c GTI 2016?

As in the heading, anyone have the OEM camber angle for the GTI? The inner edge of the front tyres are wearing more than the rest of the tyre. Picked up at the last service but no other comment from the dealers!!

Thanks

Re: Front tyre wear on the inside edge

Thanks for the heads up on the bushes. I would have thought that the OEM suspension geometry would have been set up to compensate for ride height but perhaps I am being a bit naïve. Manufacturers cut costs/corners all the time.

Front tyre wear on the inside edge

6C GTI. Anyone had this issue - both front tyres and if so what was the cause and or solution? Will get the alignment checked in the next few days but first thoughts are possibly camber angle problem?

Thanks

This is what ignition (HT) leads look like. https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=ignition+leads&i=automotive&hvadid=80264381008070&hvbmt=be&hvdev=c&hvqmt=e&tag=mh0a9-21&ref=pd_sl_8hdp41lwh3_e They are model and engine specific and go between the coils and spark plugs. The problem...

Re: Which Engine Oil?

Oil choice is a bit subjective but I use Castrol Edge professional long life 3 which meets 504. Found a supply of 5 litre cans for £30.00 which seems a good price. Use it in both VWs, Golf and Polo GTIs.

Re: Fob needs clicking twice for passanger

I prefer it working the way it’s programmed from the factory. With the first press on the unlock button and only the driver’s door unlocking, it stops any ‘unwanted’ passengers getting in the doors on the passenger side of the car if you’ve had to park in areas that aren’t particularly safe or you ...

Re: Hard wiring sat nav

If you open the triangular trim on the right hand side of the dash (need to open the car door) you will be able to find a route to the base of the A pillar from the fuse box. You can check for an appropriate fuse to use with a multimeter.

Re: Code P0341

If the camshaft sensor is new and the timing is perfect? then suggest a wiring check as the ECM is picking up error voltages from the sensor for the code to persist. Could possibly be the reason for poor cold start.

Re: What did you and your 6R/C do today?

MOT and winter prep. All wheels off and front and rear calliper pins checked and cleaned, wheels given a polish coating inside and out. Suspension checked. Couple of chips sorted and then body wash and hard polish coat with Bilt Hamber. Polish seems to last about 4 or 5 months.
