Re: Rear brake noise on reverse
I thought I’d escaped this problem! Alas no! Took delivery mid July 2019 and up until about a month ago no mooing! Only done 5800 miles due to lockdown and working from home. Now makes quite a racket when reversing first thing in the morning. Been following this issue since the beginning and nothing ...

Re: Electric folding mirrors
I have a 2019 GTI+ with folding mirrors and just checked the menu settings. On mine I have a separate “Mirrors” pair of options just above the “Wipers” options shown in the picture above. The “Mirrors” options are “Lower while reversing” and “Fold when locking”.

Re: I’ve joined the GTI+ club!
Congratulations SRGD on your new acquisition
You did the same as me, moved from a 6C GTI to a GTI+. Except I went from white to blue. You should enjoy it. I’ve had mine a little over a year now and still very happy with it. Better overall than the 6C, smoother and quieter.

Re: How hard do you drive your GTI?
Similar to others I suppose. Normal most of the time and Sport the rest. I've given all the modes a try. Eco is a waste of time as far as I'm concerned; I did buy a GTI after all! When I've set up Individual I've ended up setting it the same as Sport. I've come from a 6C GTI and Sport mode in the AW ...

Re: Volkswagen Polo GTI AW from Spain
Welcome to the forum :) Looks really nice in grey!
Winter Pack same here in UK. Previous 6C GTI had headlight washers, not the new GTI. Cost saving I expect.
What caught my eye was the picture of the engine bay, particularly the engine cover. Was that a standard fit with the car? The carbon fibre ...

Re: Ceramic coating
Previous two cars I took the dealers Lifeshine treatment but was never happy with the results as it never lasted very long. Turned out to be a waste of money in my view. So this time, with my GTI+, I decided to ring round some local detainers to see what they did. Long story short I decided to go ...

Re: Observations with GTI+
Lovely that makes sense thank you monkey hanger. I’m sure I’ll get used to it once I get it. The test drive didn’t really give me a long enough time to work it out.
Don’t forget the paddles on the steering wheel. Depending how responsive you want the car to be you can pull on the paddle to put ...

When I ordered my GTI+ front and rear mats came as standard so VW ones. No GTI logo, just red stitching around the piping.

Re: Big Brother makes an Appearence
Really not a fan of this. The GTI logo under the VW logo and in the middle just looks wrong. Have they also changed the GTI logo? It doesn't look as good.
Would much rather the MK7 GTI TCR over this.
Maybe it'll look better in person...
If you want a new TCR there’s one in the showroom of ...

Re: New Gti / Gti +
For what it’s worth here are my comments the day after I took delivery in July 2019. Early production took ages, hence long lead time. You shouldn’t have to wait anywhere like the time I and many others endured....

Based on post by deanjesper, bottom of page 8, VW has put it down to a design issue with the pad.

You know that you can download manuals?
https://www.volkswagen.co.uk/owners/manuals
Yes I did know that thanks, and when I have a registration number I'll do it for sure.
Or do what I did and do a search online for the same model car showing a number plate. There’s likely to be some on ...
