Re: How can I fix this?

Yeah, these aren't normal, get the car scanned and diagnosed! I've had my car since late 2020 and have only had tyre pressure warnings "accidentally" go off during a heatwave.

Re: Led fog lights

Swapped to LED and then coded them to LED so the warnings don't pop-up.

Re: Reduced Polo range

From my most recent conversation with VW over the phone about looking at a new car there was mention of them not taking any orders for GTI builds. Dealerships will still be recieving them, I think they're just overwhelmed with the demand vs output.

This might be a daft question, but they’re key start rather than push button?
GTI is key-start as standard whereas GTI+ is keyless as standard.

Re: Louder exhaust and another random noise

OPF regen was my first thought but then you stated another random noise which threw me off. Have you done a car walk around, all leads to the exhaust and nothing under the bonnet?

Mine doesn't auto-lock if I start the journey by reversing. Just double checking, how do you start your journey? :)

Re: Dashboard Rattles !!

Check the plastic behind your rear view mirror.
Handbrake leaver the metal bit.
Plastic on the b-pillars are pushed in fully.
Air Vents - No idea how to solve this one yet, I just tilt them down.

There's loads honestly lost count, I just turn my music up.

Re: shocked at my gti car insurance increase

Seems to be a common occurrence it seems, blame all these people claiming the weird and wonderful. Last year I managed to pay £725 with 6 Years NCB, 1 declared speeding offence and no claims at 29 for 11k miles, this year it looks like my insurance is going to be around £1.1k with 7 Years NCB and no...

Re: Oil level light

I had to top my car oil up after owning the car for 6-8 months, but I just presumed it was from my style of driving. If your oil level is within the Min/Max you should be fine, otherwise feel free to call VW and see what they say.

Re: key fob battery lifespan ?

I've changed my battery yearly, the dashboard will pop-up with a warning letting you know that your key battery is low. The battery is within a cover which you can pop once you open the key.

Re: 2018 polo gti plus few questions

Hi, The fog/turn lights are halogen, you can replace these with LED bulbs, but I did have to use ODB11 to change them to be setup as LED bulbs to stop bulb warning errors when turning them on. The rear light cluster is part LED (brakes) and part halogen (reverse & indicator), again you can repla...

Re: Polo reliability and the latest What Car report

Sorry to hear of your experience Mike. I too recently (August 22) suffered a low coolant level warning 3 days after a 2-year service interval. I took the car back in and they confirmed a leak through pressure checking and told me that they needed the car longer to investigate, 2-3 weeks later after ...

Re: Polo AW 1.0 TSI questions

SEL, R Line, Match, Beats.. etc. They're all models, the engines are 1.0 TSI (5spd manual or DSG) or 1.0 EVO (5spd manual).

You should expect the same power as the matched engine (TSI), unless you have the 2.0 GTI engine.

Re: Service intervals

I had my first service on around 10k miles and then second service on around 22k miles, wouldn't worry too much but around the 10k mark is a sweet spot according to the money makers.
