New key for 12 years old car is not an option for me
It is strange that both my keys are getting faulty at the same time. The other key is not used, it was in my desk for ages.
EDIT: battery has 3.26V

Key Battery Warning
Hi, I have a 6R 2010 1.4 16V 63kW Highline and about a year ago, I noticed "key bat" sign on my dash after ignition on. Common problem, just change the battery in key as usual. But the warning is still there. I tried about 20 different CR2032 batteries, all new ones, different stores, diff...

Re: Long cold starts
Hi,
I changed almost every sensor related except for lambda sensors and nothing helped. But I filled my car at different gas station then every time before and problems are gone.
But I did not have higher fuel consupmtion, just poor cold starts.

Re: Long cold starts
I finally had some time before driving to check my spark plugs. They are all dry, but they have more carbon on them than I would expected. They are brand new, changed this spring. Before I had the same type and brand (Bosch) for 4 years without problems. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nROGjVRAqJsp...

Re: Long cold starts
Hi,
I changed the EVAP valve - it was cheap enough to just change it and not investigate, but it did not help. Any ideas?

Re: Long cold starts
Bad news everyone.
It is getting slightly worse day after day..

I am convinced now that there is a problem...somewhere. What about holding fuel pressure? Can I check it in VCDS or only with a gauge on a hose?

Re: Long cold starts
It turns the engine fine, it is old 4 years. I think it is ok. EDIT: I recorded video yesterday.. https://drive.google.com/file/d/18zmtIY2czHEKJTEzKyfM__nOgf5U9_JP/view?usp=sharing Maybe it is starting fine and I am just chasing ghosts, but I noticed it, so it is a new thing. Long cold starts
Hi, I own o 2010 Polo 6R 1.4 16V CGGB, 117000km. Recently I started to experience that after night my morning cold starts are taking 2-3 seconds. Then it fires up and runs normally. Idle is stable, no power loss, no stalling. Next warm starts are OK. I checked my coolant temperature sensor and its r...

Re: Contentious topic - which petrol are you using?
I use in my "6R 1.4 16V" 100 octane fuel from Benzina called "Verva 100". I believe it is available only in Czech Republic and it is the best fuel you can get here (proven by independent tests). It is even better than premium fuels from OMV or Shell and also much cheaper in compa...

Re: Non starting after out of PETROL
Turn the key few times to pump fuel all the way to the engine and then try to start. If no success, you can remove one fuel line from fuel filter and turn the key. Fuel pump will turn on and you can see if it pumps fuel correctly - catch it to some bottle.
