One thing to do if you are looking after a VW Group car is, drop into any VW dealership's parts department, and ask (nicely) for a printout of that car's CAR DATA by giving them the reg number, that will give you all or most of the production options for that car, I do that every time any of my clo...

yeah i agree, Quantum premium is extremely cheap for VW i just found out! so going to be using that across the board from now on i think!

Well, Turned out to be rear left light, i replaced the light with a good used one and all was fixed! i checked the earths and they were okay too. there is a rear washer pipe union right above some pipes that was apart also which wouldn't of helped matters! plenty of contact cleaner in those plugs to...

i'll get probing tomorrow with them on and see if they are getting a 12v intermittently (flash) then i can narrow it down to earth... odd how its the whole left side? the indicator light on the dash still works but just flashes fast, as if a bulb is out. thanks for the ideas, I'm pretty sure that re...

so now when i go to indicate left, the light on the dash goes fast (blown bulb) but none of the 3 indicators on the left hand side work? don't work for hazards either.... thoughts?

Hi, i'm getting a 2002 1.4 polo ready for MOT when i press the brake the warning light on the dash for the rear fog glows.... i noticed someone has added an extra earth cable from the orange bulb (literally wedged down the side of it) to the brown wire an inch after the plug.... which sent off alarm...

Which gearboxes fit?
Hi,
I have a 2002 1.4 16v 100bhp polo and it needs a gearbox.
Which ones fit? As the 1.2's boxes are cheaper.... it's a first car for my lad so not worried about top speed ect....
