Re: Travel Assist currently unavailable
My new wheel was fitted last summer. All has been good ever since. Obviously one of the lucky ones.

Re: Oug8 update showing in car, could not download
Mine only gets updates when it goes into the dealership for something, like it's first service at the end of this month.
I've never connected my car to receive them, can't be bothered. Probably an age thing.

Re: travel assist currently unavailable
Just to add, my replacement steering wheel so far continues to be a success. It has been many weeks since fitting.

Until they bring in noise cameras , which some areas have or are testing. Although the Polo has never had an over the top exhaust sound.

Re: GTI badge to change
Electric holds absolutely no appeal for me.
A friend got rid of his electric BMW for a new petrol version and a guy I know who worked for Tesla let his car go when changing jobs, said more trouble than they are worth and bought a brand new Audi petrol.
So my car won't be badged like that anytime soon.

Re: travel assist currently unavailable
So I've had the steering wheel replaced, like for like.
A software update was also done for Bluetooth, which became the real problem for me. So far, so good.

Re: travel assist currently unavailable
As I've said before, bizarrely after my car went to the dealership, the original problem disappeared, and a new one appeared. To this day, I have problems with Bluetooth dropping, and the travel assist problem has completely vanished. The dealership says no updates were downloaded when they had the ...

Re: travel assist currently unavailable
Just wondering if anyone that's waiting for a new steering wheel has heard anything yet? Last I heard was "by the end of June". Might give the dealer a buzz next week and see what's going on (assuming they know of course :D ). No news on my steering wheel. Went in on the middle of April. ...

Re: travel assist currently unavailable
Oh well. As I said before I'm on the wait list for the steering wheel. However, the travel assist warning has completely disappeared since VW had the car, but the car keeps dropping the Bluetooth connection to my phone. Never did before. The dealership told me that no updates were applied to the car...

Re: Any one ordered the new facelift GTI?
Re the travel assist unavailable warning , new steering wheel is on order. That problem seems to have gone and now the car keeps unpairing with my phone. Annoying if you are on a call or it slightly interrupts my Spotify music. VW say that they didn't do any software updates when it was with them so...

Re: travel assist currently unavailable
Looks like I'm having a new steering wheel to solve this problem. Doesn't happen all the time but still annoying when it does. VW confirm today.
