I thought of this and checked the temps. Coolant was at 96oC and oil at 101oC.

Car peaks boost lower... Sometimes.
My 17' 1.0 tsi has recently developed this issue. Normal peak boost is 1.5bar and it gradually drops to 1.3 as the revs increase. Sometimes though i press the pedal to the floor and the car boosts to 1.0 or 1.3 bar and stays there until redline. I can feel it when it happens and the boost gauge conf...

Adding an intercooler on the newer vw TSI engines?
You know how the newer TSI engines use a water to aii intercooler integrated in the manifold. The 1.4 tsi act has it, the 1.0 tsi too. I'm thinking about a front mount air/air intercooler (Got a good deal). What's your opinion about adding a front mount to work together with the stock water/air inte...

Re: Tyre Pressure Loss Indicator
What pressure do you guys inflate your tires to? It seems that most people do 30 psi in each tire and call it a day, disregarding the manufacturer's specs about weight and tire pressure.

Re: "This funtion is not availible" when trying to turn off esc.
I've contacted the company and they said it's an adaptation issue. They recomended finding a VCDS cable myself and then they will connect via team-viewer to do the correct coding for this car. Should I trust them? Also since fitting the unit, I have a sound problem. When playing at high volume the t...

Yes, I could turn esc off with my previous system. As well as reset (set new value) the TPMS system, and view the start stop info. Now I get this message whenever I try to access any of these.

"This funtion is not availible" when trying to turn off esc.
Hello! So I own a 2017 6c that was fitted with the composition colour infotainment (5inch) I wanted to upgrade so I bought the discover pro unit online from a company as a retrofit kit. The unit was coded to my vin and was sent to me. Hooked it up, and works great! Everything works exept 2 things. 1...

Re: Clutch clonk (after gear selection) ... 6C
It's normal mate don't worry. I have a 1.0 tsi (130hp) 6c myself and it was doing that since day one. It's not a gearbox issue, it's the clutch mechanism used. My friend with a 95hp 1.0 bluemotion also has the same noise. We've visited the dealership where they told us it is normal for this drivetra...

Re: [HELP] POLO 6C AIRBOX REMOVAL [2015 TSI]
Hello, if you are talking about the 1.0 tsi engine it's actually pretty simple. You'll need a set of torx keys. Here is an aftermarket intake from forge, if you scroll down a bit an click on the "fitting guide" tab there is .pdf file that explains how to remove the factory box. https://www...

GTI rear bumper retrofit (to a 2017 R-line)
Is this possible? If so, are the bumpers the same height? Because if the Gti's bumper is shorter it would look weird with the low sideskirts of the r-line. I really dig the diffuser of the Gti...

Re: 1.0 Tsi Remapped
I haven't noticed any change in fuel consumption. The trip computer shows a a slight increase of 0.2l-0.3l/100km but I still manage to get 560km+ on a full tank and highway driving.

1.0 Tsi Remapped
So after a while of thinking about it, I couldn't resist anymore, and got my little 1.0 tsi R-line to be remapped. The tuner told me not to expect any big differences. Maybe about 8-10hp more and +2kg of torque. We dynoed the car stock and it made 110hp with 198Nm of torque. Spot on the factory numb...

Re: Slight rev (too about 1k) when releasing clutch and not in gear
That's how it's meant to be. You can test it yourself. Just put in 1st and slowly release the clutch a little (not even half way) without using any gas. The RPM's should increase a bit (to about 1-1.1k). If you re-press the pedal to the floor quicly you will se the RPM's increasing to 1.2-1.5k as th...
