Re: Stop/start not working

Hey mate, seems like quite a few GTI's had a batch of bad batteries, mine was replaced under warranty and it was sorted from there.

If you're still under warranty just have your dealer take a look.

Re: Stop/start not working

Well, after 3 weeks - on Wednesday I received a call from AC to say that they have received a delivery and that I can drop the car in on Friday for new battery fitting, great! But then yesterday I get another call from their parts department, turns out the wrong part had been ordered or delivered an...

Re: Stop/start not working

Yep, was pretty surprised to hear it and they didn't really give any details on what had went wrong with it. I expected it would be down to some kind of sensor failure or a reset-able error. All under warranty though so not too fussed.

Re: Stop/start not working

Well, car was in for the day and it turns out my battery is faulty (but still drivable fine(?)). Batteries are back-ordered so I will get a new one fitted when they get one in.

Stop/start not working

Sooo I've been sitting on this issue for quite a while now, but I think it's time to get it seen to in case I'm hurting anything else by leaving it. My stop/start system has only activated one time within the last 4+ months, any time I have checked the stop/start section in the infotainment, I see &...

Re: Unlocking doors

This is something I am able to change in the settings through the infotainment system, have a look there.

Re: Hill Hold Assist

Sounds more like an issue to me, I've never had it hold me when taking off facing uphill. If you're being stuck when releasing the brakes to roll back, tapping the accelerator should release it (I do this every day with no problem)

Edit: Mines is a manual FWIW

Re: Rev Hanging ??

I know what you mean with the hanging when getting off the gas and onto the clutch, I reckon it's just how the car is.

Re: Doors Rattling

After nearly 18 months of quiet motoring I'd become aware that the creaking door noise was returning. So I broke open my so far unused bottle of Krytox and applied it sparingly to the door felt and rubber seals. The result was a return to blissful silence. I only used a little of the bottle of Kryt...

Re: Mute button

Forgot to mention I'm on the standard Composition Media too. Strange, from what I've read here there are 2 versions of both that and the wheel then, I think this affects App Connect availability too (or some other feature). Just for reference, what variant is your car? I'm in a 3 door manual, maybe ...

Re: Mute button

Hey, I have a 2017 GTI also, mine has the mute button at the bottom left side of the infotainment system, and a mute button on the left side of the steering wheel. Do you have an upgraded infotainment package or the standard one?
