Re: Washer Fluid Warning
... mine normally spray all the time (could be either because of the daytime running LED lights or the Auto lights function?) Anyway... Yes, and so do mine which is an August 2015 SEL with optional Light & Sight pack = auto-dim rear view mirror, auto headlights and rain sensor). Await with inte...

Re: 2015 Polo Suspension Squeaking - over uneven roads or bumps
Has anyone else experienced these problems at all? Not until yesterday ... and then YES! My Polo SEL 5-dr is Aug 2015 reg, just turned 12k miles. To date no suspension noise whatsoever, but yesterday I had to call on VW Group Roadside Assistance to change F/N/S wheel (due to pot-hole damage - needs...

Re: Covering shiny bits on dashboard and steering wheel
Oh dear - sorry; this has gone off topic! But to explain. Stop/Start was fine on our manual up! Depress clutch in readiness to engage gear and engine started - ready to pull away. No problems with that! But with DSG it's a different story. So why disable it every time with DSG? 1) At a roundabout in...

Re: Covering shiny bits on dashboard and steering wheel
If you want to use Stop/Start in a DSG model you have no choice! Ah! I wondered how long before my comment would promote a response! I have exactly that situation = a DSG Polo, SEL trim + glass sunroof and other options (= a lot of toys; was previously a Motorbility vehicle). Love the car and the D...

Re: Covering shiny bits on dashboard and steering wheel
I don’t have any issues with reflections and can’t say I’ve really noticed the instrument lights reflecting in the door mirror either. Sorry - Correction! a) the reflections are not in the door mirror itself but in the window glass as I view the door mirror. b) It's the illuminated rotary light swi...

Re: Covering shiny bits on dashboard and steering wheel
The only reflecting item that causes me a problem is the 'chrome' around the face level air vent on the drivers side - reflecting in the door mirror. Same problem at night but from a different source - the instrument lights reflecting in the door mirror!

Re: New GTI
I am currently over-using my w/wash fluid every time I have the car out so that I can see for sure what the warning is on my particular version. I will then be able to complete this entry! Update: The warning comprises both symbols and text BUT these are restricted to the central screen/window betw...

Re: New GTI
getting large amounts of white fog/smoke from their exhausts when waiting in traffic Despite keeping car in garage overnight in this weather (so engine is at around 10 deg C on startup),I see in the rear view mirrors plumes of exhaust 'output' on first pulling away. Haven't noticed it thereafter bu...

Re: Tyre pressue loss indicator
I fear this topic is going to become a MAJOR issue (hope I'm wrong). I had warning come up within first 10 days. Dealer took car into w/shop and checked tyre pressures - all OK so NOTHING WRONG! Re-set it and no further occurrences. Cause? "You probably hit a pothole or gully cover and that tem...

Re: Stop/start not working
We (or should I say my wife) would love the problem you have. With the DSG box, safely pulling away at a roundabout or safely exiting into a busy road is not helped by an engine which first has to re-start! And the recent Daily Telegraph review of the new Polo specifically mentioned this. Yes, there...

Re: Polo 6r 2010 heater position problem
... my wife's August 2015 Polo 1.2TSI 110PS, is easily the worst car that I driven as regards the air being delivered to the foot area of the car - Yes, I got that bit, but I think what you are finding is that you can't get the expected flow of hot/cold air out and heading for the "foot" ...

Re: Silly Question.. GTI polo.. do we get one
another quick Q is how easy is it to retro fit heated seats, ie is the wiring already there like in my focus? Supplying VW dealer organised upgrade to heated front seats on my 2015 SEL 110 TSI Done by mobile fitter. I paid VW dealer around £400 extra as part of overall deal. Alternative was to take...

Re: Looking forward to Saturday
a) .... On my 2017 Polo they're wedge-type 21W filament bulbs each, ... b) ...., I'd prefer that they were LED types rather than filament, not only from the viewpoint that LEDs would be electrically more efficient but also because LEDs would presumably last a lot longer; gaining access to the DRL's...

Re: Opinions from owners
Indeed! Delighted with it. A significant improvement over the up! (and I had top-of-the-range HIGH up! plus most extras). For example, window and mirror and door lock controls are NOT illuminated at night in the up! (and I believe this is STILL the case in the latest versions.) But to be fair, POLO ...

Re: Looking forward to Saturday
a) If the DRLs were LEDs like fitted to new Audis i'd be well pleased, but they're not. IIRC the sidelights and headlights are on all the time with the light switch in the off position. b) If you turn the lightswitch to sidelights, the headlights go out - just seems a strange way of wiring the ligh...
