Regarding the VW sunshades for the rear passengers and hatch doors...
Do they affect visibility of outside traffic when you drive?
Do you have tinted windows?

With ACC on and engine not running,
Clear bit 5->Exit->Do it, Set bit 5->Exit->Do it.

3 cycles I repeated.
Started engine.
On cruise control on stalk, still no cruise control activation ...

However, when I try to enter the activation code via engine-> login , the button is grey out.

To code the engine unit ( Coding-07 ) the engine must be OFF.

According to your last autoscan the cruise control is already activated in both units. (BCM and engine)
Something odd is happening here ...

Maybe go your BCM, select advanced measurement values, type cruise in the search box and test all the buttons.

Before my bi-xenon retrofit, I had a shop replace engine mounts for me.
They screwed up somehow, damaged my ECU and had to replace it for me.

It was only recently I discovered my cruise control is no longer working.
I have set the engine byte and BCM byte as needed:
