Need some help any one k ow of a guide on how to remove the fuel cover mine has snapped off and need to sort. Just does not seem to come lose no matter what I try

So was bored over the weekend which is never good and my son has been asking for a project car ever since we went to the VW festival and came across this. it is a 1.4 mpi needs a lot of body work lacquer peel and a few chips but should not be to much of an issue. no history with it so ...
