Re: Looking to replace front speakers and fit new rear ones

Hi Matt, yes mines a 9n3, but i'm sure the same. In regards to your questions, i've answered them as best as I can below: 1. What did you choose to do with regard to wiring for rear speakers (my main concern)- did you run the rear right across under the rear seats and then down the left hand side un...

Looking to replace front speakers and fit new rear ones

Hi all, After successfully replacing the RCD200 radio for the Alpine CDE-W235BT, my next 'project' is to replace the existing factory fit front door speakers and also fit new rear door speakers. I've picked out some Alpine speakers from Ebay, £98 for 4. They also come with the mounting rings and say...

Re: OEM head unit upgrade options

Hi guys, just a quick email to thank you all for the info you posted here. I got myself a second hand Alpine unit from Ebay, and the wires you mentioned. I do have the same issue when I try and lock the doors remotely when the unit is on, namely it won't let me until the Alpine is switched off, did ...

Re: Looking to replace a RCD200 unit in a 2008 polo

Hi there, thanks for the reply, sorry its taken me ages to get back to you. The SPH-DA120 looks fantastic, and would be a very good choice, however i'm not too sure i'd need something so expensive. I mainly use the radio for listening to music from my iPhone, at the moment I have a bluetooth system ...

Looking to replace a RCD200 unit in a 2008 polo

Connecting a dash cam directly to the car

I'm looking to connect a dash cam directly to a circuit on a 2008 Polo Bluemotion and wondered if anyone else has done this with this model? Ideally it would be a circuit that is controlled by the key, so switches off when the engine is turned off. Any suggestion as to the easiest way to do this ple...

Re: 2008 Polo 1.4 TDI Bluemotion - Questions...

Thanks again for the reply and advice. As it is so intermittent, i'm probably thinking your suggestion about the microswitches could be the way to go. I wondered if these are things I can get access to myself, rather than go to a garage? Can you reach them easy enough? If so then my initial thought ...

Re: 2008 Polo 1.4 TDI Bluemotion - Questions...

Hi Teutonic_Tamer, I do have both remotes and have tried changing the batteries, however it still has the same issue. Looked up VCDS and no I haven't had one of these done. I could look to get it booked into a VW dealership and see if this might uncover the issues. Strange thing is that I get so man...

2008 Polo- Remote Central locking intermittent

hi, we have a 2008 Polo 1.4 Blue Motion, with remote central locking. The central locking seems to be very intermittent and we have to keep checking each door to make sure they have locked. I'm under the impression looking on the web, that these locks are operated from a pump in the boot? Does anyon...

2008 Polo 1.4 TDI Bluemotion - Questions...

Hi all, just bought a lovely 2008 Polo 1.4 TDI Bluemotion for my son who's due to take his driving test in 3 weeks. Its a perfect first car for him and he's already driven over 100 miles in it (with me next to him of course!) However I have a few questions I wondered if anyone out there could help m...
