Rear Wheel Bearing

I have whirling noise at higher speeds (well 40mph+) coming from the drivers side rear wheel. It's quite noisey. I suspect this is worn bearings?

Anyone know how much a garage would charge to replace it?

I got one painted jade green forsale. £10. You would have to pick it up from Widnes though. Can't be bothered posting it.

Or try ebay. :)

When i changed my exhaust myself I forgot to put the metal braid thing back on. Anyway it used to creak a bit from below the gearstick area. It was vibrating against the bracket. Had to adjust the position abit to get it right.

Well I just checked the docs. I had put them away for safe keeping and then forgot where the safe place was... like you do.

Anyway the actual wording is:

Offside front bonded suspension damaged but can function as intended [2.4.F.3]

Any idea what that means anyone?

Hmmm i'll have another look in the morning.

Just a quicky! Could that cv joint be the cause of a screeching noise I sometimes get when turning left?

Thanks Gaz

That's what I thought. Where the heck is the suspension bush? I had a good look under the car with my torch but couldn't see anything obvious other than that.

MOT Advisory

I had an advisory that the front passenger suspension bush had perished. Just had a look now and this is the only thing I can see wrong.

The bonnet seems to have shifted back towards the windscreen. It catches along the lip below the screen even when adjusted on the hinges. The left/right alignment seems ok. I caused some cosmetic damage to the bonnet when i tried to force it  not really that bothered though I ...

Mk2 Bonnet problem Help please!!

Had a small problem involving my bonnet bursting open at 40mph.

Anyway now it wont shut. I think the hinges may be bent. I removed the bonnet and just placed it back in place.

If the hinges are bent how do I go about replacing them. I don't see anything in the manual about removing the ...

I wasn't sure if the mounting points would be the same.
